No outright changes this week either. Week three rolls around, braced for impact as ever. The estate is still intact, the contestants are still motivated, things are looking good.

Well, aside from the fact you all had a blackout this weekend. That wasn't so good.

Either way, when Monday rolls around, Wei Wuxian seems to be in a cheery mood as he greets everyone Monday morning.

Soo our options from week one are... Maya and Aventurine, Edamura and Odile, Verso and Nico, Rom and Messmer, and you and Luka.

Personally, I think we should focus on Maya and Aventurine or Verso and Nico.

Either tells us a lot.

If we get it right with Maya and Aventurine there's literally only one other cross gender match it could possibly be.

Yeah. The way I look at it, Maya-Aventurine is the high risk, high reward scenario.

Personally, I think Verso-Nico's a done deal. They've gotta be a match. So that's the low reward, low risk option.

Do we want to be taking high risks right now though is the question? Especially after how badly we flubbed it last time, a low risk set might not be bad.

I think there are a few pairings this previous round that we were reasonably confident in, only for them to be struck down. Taking that into account -- I don't think it would be a bad idea to confirm if our general logic is correct with the low reward, low risk option before we must make pairings for the matching ceremony. And on the chance that we correctly identify a match with Mr. Nico and Mr. Verso, it would provide us with another safety net to prevent another worst-case scenario, no?

High risk, high reward is always my preferred option. Depending on how you look at it, though, myself and Maya might be pretty low risk, too.

The same sex pairings make up 75% of the remaining matches and we know next to nothing about them.

That is true... it's a lot of people that we don't really have a good grasp of the matches for.

I don't mind going in, but we've talked about the high probability of Nico and Verso for two weeks now, and I'd sort of rather we have that set in stone one way or another. If we're positive on it and it turns out we're wrong, that won't bode too well this weekend.

I'm in agreement with Amano-san. Building assumptions on top of assumptions is dangerous -- it might be best to make a confirmation we're on the right line of thought before we continue.

Mm, if we nail down a match between a man and a woman, that gives us a small group of women to determine matches for. Only a couple of us ladies have sat together at the ceremonies.

You're right. That's what makes it so tempting. Then we could have as many ladies match up with each other as possible at the ceremony and see how the chips fall.

And we know do know at least one set among the girls who it isn't, so I see your point on that one.

It seems like we're somewhat split on which of those two pairs we should go with. I'm inclined to agree with the reasoning for sending Nico-san and Verso, though, especially since we'd considered them along the same lines as you and Furina-san.

Personally, I think either's fine. If I had to lean one way over the other, it'd be Maya and Aventurine, but just because I think our win would be bigger. Well, not that it's up to me. [Call her Miss No Votes on account of the Not Getting To Vote.]

Either way... we're gonna have to make some assumptions and be careful about the Match Ceremony.
