Some place called Taco Bell? Seemed like some kind of fast food joint to me, and I consider myself a pretty cheap date most of the time, but come on, there's gotta be a limit!

[ Not that she blames Luka. He was suffering alongside her. This is all on production. ]

That said, I think production is having a laugh at some of our expenses. Just glad to know they didn't play with ours. I've been curious to get to know you better.

[ Her laugh is strained at that. Apparently, she did not think so.

[Yes, he’s turned up the charm for the sake of the game, but he also feels bad about that. Like he’s selling a part of himself that doesn’t really represent who he is.

He pushes those feelings away, though. Verso does want to get to know her better, and that’s no lie.]

[ She smiles at that response and raises both brows at him. She's friendly too, but seems that charm of his has a particular attractive natural quality that draws others in, whether he's playing it up right now or not. She won't belabor the point though. ]

Alright, Mr. Friendly. If that's the case, why don't you tell me a little more about yourself. I don't think we've really had much of a chance for that yet.

[They can look over their menus while he begins, which... surprisingly does not go over Verso's head. He takes it all in with some familiarity, so it seems that at some point in his life, he was at ease with fine dining like this.]

Well, as my profile states, I was an Expeditioner before arriving here. Someone who traveled a dangerous land full of monsters in order to reach a place called the Monolith. This was far, far easier said than done, however. I thought that this place would be a nice relaxing four weeks to break things up.

[ That makes one of them at least. Serpilia doesn't spend a lot of time at fancy joints, so there's something almost intimidating about a menu like this. ]

Yikes... and I thought my break from overworking was a good enough reason to want one. Then again, I guess I do have to do some occasional combat for mine. Sounds like yours is a lot more non-stop though.

I managed to nab myself a job working on building things like drones and other gadgets, so I kind of lucked out in that regard.

I can show you sometime later if you want. I brought a few with me. They're handy if I want a proxy to attend a meeting for me, instead of having to sit through it myself.

Sooort of. In the sense that they have microphones and cameras on them. I'm pretty sure someone would figure it out pretty fast if I tried to put a dress on one of my drones and sent it in.
