It's very kind of you to volunteer, Miss Yingying. Your bravery's admirable. But I wonder if there's anyone in particular you'd be interested in taking with you? Someone you've had a particularly [ hm, what word to use ] energetic conversation with, maybe?
Ringo seemed to think the same thing was a good idea. Me picking someone, that is... so long as I'm not stepping on anyone's toes.
[ She blinks a little owlishly, surprised that fate is falling to her, unless a better idea arises. It's the first week, so it'll give everyone a peace of mind if someone confidently goes in, right? She does want to watch over everyone's hearts. ]
There are plenty of people I get along with, and getting to know everyone has been so fun and thrilling...
[ There's something of a sense of... sheltered-ness to the way she describes it, perhaps a different facet of her confident, forward personality. Not that she isn't those things, too. But one gets the sense that despite her ease and charm, there's still tons she hasn't experienced in life in full. ]
Do you think how "energetic" our talks were is the best trait to go off of?
Considering how, uh, [redacted] her [redacted] is, she sounds quite innocent about all this. Give him a brief second to consider his angle of approach before he responds; despite everything, he manages to keep his tone of voice and delivery in the same weirdly deadpan, languid drawl as always. ]
I don't know if it's the best trait, exactly, but ... do you happen to enjoy gossip, by any chance?
[ Yingying is clueless about how [redacted] her [redacted] is to him, so she can only blink at that pause he takes to respond. Before smiling at the question, of course. ]
It depends on the kind... if it's all just for fun, then of course.
Yes, in part. Mr. Nico appears quite knowledgeable about this show, and mentioned that dramatics seem just as important as true feelings. So while I think they probably wouldn't have paired you up with someone you would be genuinely uncomfortable with ... someone you might have had a more dynamic discussion with might be a good candidate.
[ Dramatics are just as important as true feelings, huh. That gives her an idea. ]
Well, Luka certainly left an impression!
[ Was it a good one. Again, hard to say. But it was distinct, different from anyone else. And she's sure it'd be dramatic, if the two of them were to enter that booth together — he seems to only know how to be on a stage. ]
I would say Messmer, too, but I can tell he really doesn't want to get involved with the game so early. I'd hate for him to really get cross with me.

[ Pause. ]
I think that might be partly what we're here for. Producing fun gossip.

[ She repeats the words, thinking deeply. That... sort of makes sense? ]
Then... you think picking someone who will cause a big reaction might be the goal?

Is there anyone who comes to mind?
