Maya!! Maya was a fun contestant to Wei Wuxian because he truly didn't know what to expect from her. He had her file (basically her app/love survey) and it told him she wasn't great at noticing romance in her life and he truly ran with that assumption, which proved true. He also doesn't know what a journalist is other than like, the definition of it being someone who investigates and reports on events. So, part of him was like, is she going to be bored? On a simple dating game like this?

But then she became the belle of the ball and had so much chemistry with everyone that it amused him. He wanted to tease her about it tremendously, which he did, and he really did enjoy their back and forth as a result. Maya was someone he was confident was going to go through the game without much trouble at all, even if he gave her a hard time about her obliviousness. Mostly because she had such a natural friendship and chemistry with everyone that he couldn't imagine her leaving this place without a companion.

He was worried at one point that she would just see people's expressed interest in her as friendship and was wondering how that would play out as well. It's why he encouraged her to try to not be just friendly with people but more. Try to push her limits a little bit. He hoped that would encourage her and not discourage her and he thinks it worked but he's not entirely sure. Because right after that is when Luka expressed his interest and he knew that with such a bold, obvious declaration, all the other people expressing interest in Maya would back off.

So, while he knew that Luka would chase after Maya like a dog with a bone, he hoped that Maya wouldn't just accept him because he was the only one being obvious about his interest. He didn't know about Luka's yandere tendencies though and still doesn't so he's assuming Maya did consider her other options before accepting Luka's favor. He doesn't exactly know how that went down, of course.

But he is confident in Maya being someone who can handle herself and what she wants and he's just really happy that Maya picked someone in the end who really seems to like her and that she feels like she played the game wholeheartedly. That's what he wanted of Maya the most and it seems like she really got that. He's hoping that as she goes home, especially with Luka, she'll be able to have an even easier life than the one she had before and hopes that Luka will be a positive addition to her life.

Also, he's definitely going to keep in touch with her and see how she is later on. Hopefully she's good!
