FRIENDS. . . thank you so much for the past four weeks, it truly has been a blast ;w;/ ♥ The chemistry of this cast was truly off the charts; I had some REALLY AMAZING THREADS with literally everyone in the game. You guys are all such wonderful RPers and it has been an honor to play with you all! The CR I got in this game was sooooo phenomenal. . . I don't want to leave it behind. . . gently shuffles everyone to the Aytwo community--

Thank you especially for enjoying Edamura's presence in the cast. . . I only just picked him up like four weeks ago and he is INCREDIBLY NEW TO ME (please ignore that I may have accidentally contradicted a few VERY MINOR canon facts due to my horrific ability to retain minute details, but it's fine, it's fine). I wasn't sure how he would get along with a cast so full of characters that have dealings in the supernatural/abnormal when he's 100% normie himself, but truly. . . he fit in so well and that made me really happy ;w;/

ALLLLL EDAMURA WAS SO GOOD!! I'm so glad that you got to play him and you found your footing with him SO fast tbh... it's so good that he's becoming an al staple bc i can't wait to see him react a bunch to all sorts of crazy shenanigans again in the future.

i think you did a great job conveying his personality to the cast though! bc im canonblind i was like WHUH?? when his conman stuff came out, because he genuinely came off like such an awkward/harmless lad.... i think that speaks to how well you managed his 'front facing' self. sometimes i struggle playing characters that have a 'hidden side' or are manipulative, so i really admired the way you played him :3

as ever our threads were so fun!! and sentimental... i loved these two sm 😭 edamura was so, so sweet to yingying and she absolutely adored him. my only regret is she didn't get to TERRORIZE him more

Al, there are no words for how much I have come to love Edamura ... I want to squeeze him between my sweaty paws until he squeaks!!!!!!

I think it was always really evident how much thought and effort went into your threads both ICly and OOCly! Edamura is a tremendous sweetiepie, and it was so fun getting to see all the different sides of him and how that evolved against different characters as the weeks went by. I think you did a really wonderful job of balancing out his more earnest, goober-y "just a dude" side against his more cynical conman side, and both sides felt so real and fleshed out. But also I think it speaks to how attentive and thoughtful a writer you are that Edamura got to have those interactions with basically everyone! I think especially in a fast-paced game like this it can get pretty hard balancing things out, but you truly made things work with the whole cast, and it was suuuuuuch a delight to witness!

And that's to say nothing of our ship of course ... clutches chest. I will save the bulk of my word vomit for TL;CR where it belongs, but please know that I love our little ship with allllllllll my heart!!! I do think that it's partly luck that things came together so neatly for them, but I think a greater part of it is that you're an extremely astute writer with a good sense for where to take threads and how to make them meaningful without feeling too much like 'we are here to make this The Special Thread,' if you get what I mean? Everything felt so wonderfully organic, and I think it's a tribute to what an engaging and fluid writer you are!

Also please never apologize for your icon spam. It always made me smile so much, what a delight.

AL!!! My comrade in normieism... I guess it's no surprise I adore Edamura since I went out and watched his canon, but that also means I can confidently say that not only were you a great advertisement for him but you nailed his voice so well!! He's so expressive and goofy and sweet and sincere and a liar but he was so good here, I'm so glad we had him!! His and Poppy's siblingism meant so much to me... one day he can be more honest with her and it will probably be fine, but in the meantime they were already perfect. to me.

HE WAS ALSO SO CUTE WITH ROM, truly my OTP of the game... Really he was sweet with so many of the characters here but that's a testament to how well you captured his sincerity and general good-guy-ness! Every time he popped up somewhere it was such a delight.

I told you this already but I'm also glad you had him in AYTO so I know he got to experience some solid and good happiness... but I will be so stoked to see more of him soon enough!! Picks both him and you up and swings you around.

WAAAAAAH AL EDAMURA WAS SO GREAT AND CUTE and I'm so glad that you brought him to the game!!

I thought you really masterfully captured his many layers (like Shrek), and I enjoyed seeing his CR unfold as the game progressed so much. I have to say that I think Edamura is one of the characters who I saw go through some of the most relationship evolution and development over the course of the month, and it was such a delight to see it grow. AYTO provides the opportunity for a lot of close CR to develop in a short amount of time while also creating a very open environment for it, which is one of the reasons I love this game format since it delivers a completely different feeling from some other Instant Pot-style short terms premises, which have their own charms!! I don't know, I just can't say enough how clear you made Edamura's progression over the course of the game and how well it translated from your writing and how impressed I was with the way you handled development in such a concise and visible way.

I also really liked your take on his time in the game as a liar who is nonetheless interested in something authentic. It might be weird to describe a character who lives in a lot of dishonest ways, but his portrayal just always felt very earnest to me. An earnest liar. That added so much richness to his development, and I think you did such a good job balancing his earnest and cute side with the side of him that's a con man. It made it soooo rewarding to track the things he revealed and things that were revealed about him--like the lore drop secrets or admitting his conflicting feelings about finding true love in such a short timeframe. Also, he's just a really funny guy, and your humor was always so hilarious and delightful to read... I really loved tagging this silly goober and seeing him all over the place and seeing him find friends and happiness... may he enjoy his new personal chef gig.

I'm looking forward to our next playtime together...which will hopefully be a lot sooner rather than later! Thank you for playing with me!
