Bravo, Shoko-sensei! [Hopefully she's using that honorific correctly... Furina has been paying attention and trying, okay?] Your speech sets you apart as a worthy successor! I wondered where you went, but it seems you were busy giving us an unforgettable final night!

[And she certainly didn't repeat the same show twice (or a third time), leading this to have a completely different tone from all of their other celebrations. This is the last one, after all.

Furina is a little bit of everywhere tonight, though she's not always so chatty. Sometimes she's just content to move from social group to social group, even when she has a couple of drinks.

Later in the night, she might invite you to dance with her or perhaps to sit and look out on the pond and stars. Or she might ask:]

So! Have you given any thought to what talent you'd share with us if we put a show on before everyone leaves?

Ehhh...... I could have blown smoke rings, I guess, but Mame-chan and I just threw our last cigarettes over the wall...

[ somewhere out there a PA probably got bonked in the head by an aerial cigarette pack pitched by a jujutsu sorcerer. They're probably fine! ]

I guess I can show off my talent if someone wants to volunteer themselves to be grievously injured and then healed back to perfect condition.

[MA'AM?] Don't you think you'd have to go out of you way to find a volunteer for that demonstration?

[Furina's hands are up in refusal, palms out like this will somehow keep Shoko from both mortally wounding her and bringing her back from the brink of death. Please no. It's only normal for a regular human to be afraid of a deadly injury.]

Hm, but I suppose that means you and Edamura have made the decision to forego cigarettes? That's a momentous decision.

Yeah. So don't go expecting me to perform or anything, please, Furina-sensei.~

[ But!! She nods. ]

To be honest, I'd made the decision to quit before coming here, but it's a hard habit to break right away. Plus Wei-san put packs in front of me...!

You know, he was probably looking out for you, knowing about much stress you'd be going through.

[Wei Wuxian is more observant than people always give him credit for, and Furina picked up on his genuine caring and investment pretty early. But when it comes to his ideas and plans...well. Well.]

If you can't indulge yourself to the fullest, is it really a vacation in the end? Ah, but I think it's better to indulge yourself without doing any harm to yourself, too.

[ She nods and hums thoughtfully, because she did get that sense. He'd known it was something she... enjoyed, and so he made sure she had some. But also, she just has to say, ]

Yeah... It turns out he had no idea how bad cigarettes are for the body. But I do think he at least wanted me to have that option if I needed it. It's definitely something I use to cope with stress and feeling depressed, soooo. Heh.

[To be fair, has Shoko seen the way Wei Wuxian drinks... It shouldn't come as any surprise that he had no idea about cigarettes, either.]

It'd probably be better for everyone to know, too, right? Even if you're quitting...People can empathize with needing a coping mechanism or two, haha.

[Furina certainly has her own, and she had some that she needed to get over, too, and she can certainly understand being a little self-conscious about them.] I do hope you experience was ultimately more rewarding than stressful or depressing.

[ OH THE TALENT SHOW. He forgot!! ]

I have a song I might like to play for everyone. It has lyrics, if one of our lovely singers would like to indulge me. If not, just the piano will do.

[So many crazy things have happened! They may have needed to postpone said show to the end of the production, but Furina still thinks it will make a tremendous send-off even if it's no good for matchmaking anymore.]

I've already selected my piece, so I'll defer to the other performers in our merry band to have first right of refusal. I'd be happy to accompany you if you have no other takers...as long as the song meets my exacting standards, of course. [She already knows that it will.]
