week three | mingle
No outright changes this week either. Week three rolls around, braced for impact as ever. The estate is still intact, the contestants are still motivated, things are looking good.
Well, aside from the fact you all had a blackout this weekend. That wasn't so good.
Either way, when Monday rolls around, Wei Wuxian seems to be in a cheery mood as he greets everyone Monday morning.
"Everyone, come here, come here. I have an announcement!"
Better go see what that's about, huh?

Indeed. We'll have to reshuffle our thoughts entirely in some ways, so I suppose I ought to turn my gaze to those I'd half-considered myself.
[ It still......... does not cut down on any of them for her actually but! That's fine. ]

Well... we definitely can't repeat what happened last weekend, so I'd say now's definitely the time to be looking for that "spark" with everyone else... like Edamura put it.

If I went on that alone, I would be the cause of one of those blackened lights. I believe I will continue to do as I have and consider it from a logical point of view, Ringo.

[It's said with a laugh, though.]
Well, do whatever you want. We'll get this figured out either way, I'm confident in it!

Certainly. We've gathered plenty of data, and with this additional hint... I believe it shouldn't be terribly difficult to narrow things down in some way.
no subject
We're looking at, hm...
... Narrowing down the female-female matches might be the way to go first. We've already got one crossed off the potentials list with Poppy and Shoko.

[ Yes, a huge difference than the first week, don't mind it. Even knowing... no, especially knowing Yingying's plight, actually, it changes naught. ]
Of course, there are those I've yet to better know yet that may present themselves as viable too -- Poppy and Serpilia, for example. I'll have a better idea of my possibilities in the nearer future.

That's the spirit!
And don't forget to have fun along the way, too!

Unless you want to end up as blind as Messmer, keep your eyes to yourself.

I can't help what my eyes see, Odile.

[ they will TALK LATER, OKAY, PLEASE ]

Don't worry about me! I'm feeling great. Trust me!
[they will talk in a mall crowded with people]

Oh yeah. . . the spark!
[. . .]
I don't think the spark is helping at all.
no subject
You don't~? I thought you believed in 'the spark,' Edamura-san. [ hehe ]

[if he is successful, then he will let go, satisfied with his "revenge"]
That's beside the point! I think it's obvious by now that some people here are being drawn in directions opposed to their "perfect match." It's not a bad thing, it's just something to keep in mind.

Rom basically ragdolls when he feels the yank and permits all the arm-slinging and noogie-ing Edamura wants. Just give him a second once he's let go to pop his hat off where he's been smushed down on his head. ]
I agree. It feels like we tried going by ... [ feelings ] intuition in the previous round. This feels like as good a time to switch tactics as any. Matters of the heart can be dealt with separately, while we approach the game from a more strategic angle.

. . . maybe for some of us! [giving her a smile] But some people may need to look outside of that. . . "spark." Just in case, you know?

This is usually Figue's job so I'm working overtime here!

[says the guy who excelled in literature and history and not math and science]
And I think it's helpful when we've basically been given a logic puzzle. Things like. . . probability and numbers. . . are useful for those, right?

Your praise no longer feels very praiseful.
