And I don’t even know how to do that. The instructions for this thing sounded easy enough, at least.

[Their karts await them, and it’s a short stride over to the track’s starting line.]

[ Here's hoping he can even start it. But Maya scrunches her nose at him playfully before he departs, and she settles in her own go-kart.

They're giving the signal to start shortly after, and Maya revs it up, hits the pedal--

And majestically careens right into a pile of tires. ]

[Thankfully, he's so unfamiliar that he doesn't go zooming down the track as soon as the signals tells them to start. Just enough time to watch her crash straight into a big pile of tires.

Well of course he's getting out and jogging over, removing his helmet.]

Okay, well, that's worrisome. He drops his helmet outright as he begins to hurriedly move the tires aside. Somewhere in the background, the staff is scrambing, and there's an announcement over the tinny PA to pause the race.

And, miraculously, be completely unscathed? ]

Whew--! That surprised me!

[THANKFULLY unscathed. He looks her up and down as he makes sure she steadies herself on her feet.]

Uh-huh. Well, try to make it at least one lap this time!

[She seems fine so it's probably okay. The staff members have finally run up to check on them, and Verso explains that it was likely a problem with the kart itself. They look momentarily dubious, but ultimately nod, and say they'll check it out — in the meantime, they'll sort them another kart and reset the race.

So, slight timeskip! Here they are again! Seated in the go-karts and about to start!!]

Remember: no crashing!

To her credit, Maya does get at least halfway through a lap before she.

Though she is stuck in there, so thanks for righting that vehicle. ]

[And once again, the staff can be seen scrambling panickedly in the background.

Up goes the vehicle, and he's gonig to help her out anyway.]
