Whew... [Furina is seated, hands braced on her bare knees. Her calves are going to hate her by the time all these athletic dates are over... but she should probably be listening to Crabaletta about keeping a closer eye on her shape, anyway.] I caught wind of things like these before, but who could have known there were so many ways to "skate"?

[She spares Yingying a quick glance, waiting for the other shoe (or skate) to fall and for her to be on the receiving end of her gestures or the flirtations that Furina knows can't be meant genuinely for her. This doesn't really seem like the typical haunt for a flirtatious wisteria fairy.]

[ Oh, dear.... for someone who sleeps days at a time, and hasn't moved in [redacted] years, this is certainly out of her comfort zone. Only her usual levels of grace are keeping her from immediately stumbling around, and she's able to stand still with her arms slightly out without issue. ]

I didn't know shoes could have wheels on them. [ She remarks, blinking at all the people gracefully skating around the rink. As ever, there's something of a sense of wonder whenever Yingying gets taken to see parts of the outside and modern world, easily impressed and distracted by all kinds of things. It's a much more innocent side to her than what she typically shows at the house. ] This must be some kind of sport or game in this era.

[ She offers her hand to Furina since she's still seated, managing not to lose her balance. ]

I think that's the signature of human innovation on bold and stunning display.

[She's seen inventions come and go and heard of other things across land and seas, and the remnants of long-gone civilizations are testaments of what they valued, too. Even under the strict rules of the heavens, sometimes.]

Go faster, or give yourself more time. [Two things that people seem to desire no matter when or where they happen to be.

She looks at Yingying's hand, briefly feeling a moment of uncertainty, before taking it to allow herself to be pulled up onto her skates.] Just keep your balance and the rest should be easy.

Going to catch me properly if I happen to slip?

[ She asks, playful, but less forceful than prior attempts at teasing Furina. It's more... casual, and in content, she's more trying to give Furina a chance to be a gallant knight in shining armor. She did seem very princely before, and Yingying's nothing if not good at playing a heroine for a love story.

That being said, though, she takes both of Furina's hands, to help her get up steadily, before somewhat awkwardly starting to clomp over to the rink. Weird as this is, she's not intimidated by trying something new. It's going to be really fun!! She's sure!! But she's definitely not letting go of Furina's hand while they go. ]

We can just go at our own pace... it'll be hard to talk with you if we're getting too out of control, hehe.

You don't need me to catch you. If you follow my lead, then there's no way that you will.

[It isn't a gallant knight's declaration of heroics, but it's still...shining, in a way. It's just Furina's natural energy...maybe. It glows from within her either way.

Furina's center of gravity seems to make her well-suited for activities that require this kind of low-seated balance. It's not quite the same as sports on the water, but she is - perhaps even a little impressively - poised.]

Here. [Once they reach the polished hardwood of the actual rink, Furina turns and backs out onto the floor, cautious as a kitten walking out onto a tightrope. She thinks she's got this under control, but she's not exactly accounting for managing someone else's weight alongside hers.] Bend forward.

[ Oh?!?!? Furina secret princely romantic?! It doesn't feel so forced as it Yingying knows it can feel, so she's honestly a little impressed. And endeared.

It helps, also, that Furina has such a natural balance for these things: Yingying is graceful in most of all she does, but her constitution is weak, and she's far from active. So, as they get on the hardwood floor, her legs are uncharacteristically wobbly. ]

Oh! [ She blinks at the easier way the skates seem to glide on the floor, just one of a hundred new discoveries she makes everyday. As Furina instructs, she leans forward — and for what it's worth, she doesn't seem scared or out of sorts. Just curious and eagerly along for the ride. ] It's much smoother than I thought it would be. I thought it might feel a bit more like a wagon ride.

[ They are definitely going horrendously slow... but she is having fun just being pulled along by Furina, and grips her hands tightly to stay close. ]
