Serpilia and Ringo are taken to a popular boardwalk, full of fun and games and exciting attractions.

Highlights

There is a Ferris Wheel. There is a small rollercoaster.
Fried Oreos are on offer.
They could go swimming too if they want! (Can robots swim?)

[Can robots swim? An excellent question! Ringo is certainly not dressed for swimming. She's instead opted for a cute date fit.

And as soon as she sees the venue, she is astonished--in a good way, of course.]

Woooow, did you come up with this place yourself? It looks amazing!

[ Serpilia herself is a little more dressed down, but she's at least color matching despite her tendency towards lighter colors.

It doesn't stop her smile from being bright at seeing Ringo's reaction to the scene. That's exactly what she'd been hoping for. ]

I'll admit, I didn't have a chance to scope out the location first myself, but they were pretty amicable to finding something that matched what I was asking for when I described it.

[ The beach is actually a surprise for her, but that's because the ocean is ominous and not something to go near in her world. ]

[So... as she promised, Serpilia came up with something exciting just for Ringo. It's still an emotion she's pinning down, how that makes her feel... but it's good, she knows. A quiet warmth in her chest that she wants to hold onto.]

Thank you! For doing this, I mean. I really had no idea what to expect, but feels to me like you went above and beyond.

[ It's not often she has the chance to do something like this for someone else, especially not on someone else's dime. Not that she picked a particularly expensive experience for them. It seemed fun though, lively, and maybe a little nicer for a date than a pizza party. ]

Lets see how badly they rigged the games here before you go praising me that much.

Oh, is that usually a problem?

[Ringo laughs at that, arching an eyebrow at the games.]

You know... even if they're rigged, I bet we could still win some prizes. Let's have some fun.

Depends how honest the people who run the stands are, but I guess we'll see how much we need to compensate for their tricks, huh?

[ She nudges Ringo's shoulder lightly with her own. ]

So what do you want to start with?

[The shoulder nudge is cute... and after a moment's thought, Ringo just tries to loop their arms together so they can walk arm in arm, if Serpilia allows it.]

I'm pretty handy with odd tasks, so... let's find the weirdest game we can!

[Yeah, that tracks for Ringo.]

[ She does gladly, looping her arm and sliding up to Ringo's side as she hums thoughtfully at the suggestion. ]

Weird, huh? Well what about... that?

[ It's a bit of a ways from where the two women are standing, and hard to see what it is exactly from here, but the large clown head that takes up the entire banner for the booth is hard to miss. ]

Looks pretty weird to me.

[This is nice.... Ringo's still getting used to having friends and companions that are open to touch like this.

She's getting spoiled here.]

Hey, yeah, perfect! What is it about clowns, anyway?

[Clowns....]

Are they trying to scare children?

[ It's never been too much of a problem with Serpilia and her friends, though most of the people she's around on a regular basis aren't actually friends, so this is a nice change of pace for her too.

Either way, she's walking them slowly towards The Clown, giving that question some thought. ]

Maybe? It seems like a pretty weird way to try to scare them, but I can't say it screams friendly and inviting to me.

Right? I'm saying!

[They drift closer, and it's... one of those balloon popping with darts games! But. The balloons are... questionably placed. One's the clown's nose. A few are at his hands and feet. And then there's...]

...

Is that supposed to be a dick balloon?

[ Serpilia's free hand shoots up to cover her mouth as she lets out a cough clearly meant to cover a snort of laughter, before clearing her throat. ]

Pretty sure those are meant to he twisted up into cute little shapes like dogs and flowers.

[ Dick balloon... she'll never be able to look at a balloon animal the same way after hearing that. ]

Yeah, that's how they should be used, but...!

[Pointing at the clown!! And the position of the balloons!]

That's totally on purpose, right? It's not just me!

[ Looking down, and... wow... wow? Who designed this? There are kids on this boardwalk?? ]

Oh my god... it's absolutely a dick balloon.

[... ... ... She considers this very seriously.

And then grins.]

We gotta pop it.

[ The slow grin creeping up on Serpilia's face matches Ringo's just perfectly. ]

If anything we're doing a public good, right?

[ This is not the reason for doing it though. ]

[Two peas in a pod over here.]

Exactly.

[Up they go to the counter to pay for (read: have production pay for) a few rounds of the game. And with a hefty pile of darts in front of them, Ringo pauses.]

Wait, are you gonna be good at this game?

[ Serpilia actually has to let out a small, semi-joking offended huff at that question. ]

I know that you all don't really know much about where I came from, but as a Sankta I have to take a little offense to that insult on principle.

[ She holds out her hand for the darts. ]

Here, give me one and let me show off.

Wait, wait, let me throw first then--!

[She shakes her head a little, both hands raised.]

Because I'm gonna suck at it, and I had a feeling you'd be good at it! Let me throw a dart first and then you can finish the game for us.

[She just wants to try first... then she's ready to be dazzled by Serpilia's far superior skills.]

[ Somehow the assumption was automatically that someone who is an AI made human would be incredible when it comes to things like aim, but the human body does have flaws even if made in unique circumstances, so Serpilia respects it.

She will reluctantly hold her hand up, palm out towards Ringo in a surrender gesture. ]

I guess it's more fair not to take all the fun for myself right at the start. Let's see what you can do.
