I wonder if I expected it would be easier than this. Given my experiences, I've seen and read countless love stories, but never lived my own.
[She'd like to think that if she does fall in love, she'll at least be able to recognize that. But what happens if it happens in slivers and becomes impossible to notice until it's done?]
I'd like to experience each step of the way, though, so maybe I'm grateful I didn't go simply goggle-eyed immediately. [Said both truthfully and with a little envy.]
[... Oh. Now there's an interesting perspective. Ringo blinks for a moment. She's always been the sort to go hurtling forward, not holding back, not thinking.
But...
"I'd like to experience each step of the way".
Huh.]
... Yeah. I think I can understand that. Wouldn't want to miss any part of it, right? Especially not if it really works out and this is the one and only time. [Because after that, you have your true love.]
[If this was the one and only time... It wouldn't be so bad. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't, either - though she hopes for a story that lasts much longer than that. Life is full of firsts and lasts and everything in between. Furina can't let herself get caught up in things that are missed or long past, but each day can bring something new with it.]
You understand exactly, my dear partner! This is a story that I'd like to write myself - my experience, and someone else's, in tandem.
Oooh, I like the sound of that! Writing your story yourself...
[It's not really something Ringo has had the luxury of, and she wonders if Furina's eagerness to do so comes from her own life being similar--or if she's always lived life that way, proudly writing each line of it.]
Sounds like the sort of thing that takes some practice, though.

[She can play a woman in love perfectly. Who knew it would be so different?]

Oh, yeah? Whew! I was starting to think it was just going to be me. That's a relief, though.
