I think we've got a strong mix of people looking for love and people looking for... well, their desires granted. Regardless of what you believe.
[ Yes, she knows he thinks the wish is bullshit. ]
But I really do like everyone. Ringo and I are a lot alike, so she's easy to get along with and she's always eager to try new things. Shoko's also really great and I can tell she's going to be an amazing drinking buddy; I get the feeling she can deescalate a situation like no one's business. Nico's enthusiasm and occasional masochism for what he loves [ garlic bread ] are completely relatable, and him being a vampire doesn't change that for me. Poppy's really cute and expressive and makes video games, which is awesome.
[ A breath. ]
Yingying really seems to like unbalancing others, but it's not mean-spirited and of course we both know she's gorgeous. Shindou-san is really fascinating to talk to and has a pretty solid head on his shoulders, even if his smile is a little crooked. Odile doesn't take any shit and also tells really interesting stories about where she's traveled, though she does feel more like a cool aunt to me. Furina is full of passion and thoughtfulness and we're definitely due a movie marathon, because I'd love to get more of her thoughts. It feels like she's also a romantic. Luka's one big mystery but I really like his confidence. Yi Sang feels like he's one step away from being understood, but I need to put some work in there--from what I've noticed, he's very kind, just hesitant about it.
[ ANOTHER BREATH. ]
Serpilia's pretty and really great to converse with, so I'm looking forward to talking to her more! You like to think things out, but you're also a romantic, and I respect someone who can come on this show and stick to his ideals. There's more to Aventurine than meets the eye and I think we've all realized that by now, but he's dazzling in a way beyond his words and I don't think he sees that. Verso is charming but careful about it, which tells me he's got a lot of depth to him that I'm not sure if he's ready to show us yet. And Messmer may be a giant guy with snakes but I think there's something to be said about how he's still willing to speak with everyone and doesn't just try to leave a conversation immediately. I actually think he has a sense of humor.
[a small laugh as he folds his arms, chin lifted, eyes slipping shut pensively]
As long as you aren't expecting much--
You, Ieiri-san, and Odile-san make me feel comfortable. Verso-san and I seem to have a bit in common. Despite their. . . despite just being them, La Roux-san and Shindou-san have been kind to me, each in their own way. Li-san and I seem to be the only two completely average people here? I think I owe. . . Serpilia-san and Ringo-san an apology. Aventurine-san and Yi Sang-san both have motives for being here that don't involve getting to know people, so I don't know how good of a match that makes us. Furina-san is cute. . . and very passionate. Yingying-san is--
[. . . . . . . . . A TOTAL FUCKIN' BABE]
. . . s-she seems kind of amazing!
And I'm not really sure about Luka-san; he's kind of pushy for my tastes.
Strangers have the most potential of all, when you think about it. They can become an enemy, an ally, a close friend, or even a lover.
I'm just lucky enough that everyone's turned out to be great, in a bunch of different ways! So I'll take credit where it's due, but this is just all based off observation and interaction.
[ such an open, enthusiastic perspective. He's never felt that way about meeting anyone. In a way, he's envious, though it doesn't come through his voice, weary and cool as ever. ]

[OH SHE HAS PUT WAY MORE THOUGHT INTO THIS THAN HE HAS]
Wow, Maya. . .
You're really considerate. It's impressive.

Yeah, but to notice them and then talk about them so openly-- it's nice, that's all.

[ She doesn't look that apologetic, though. ]

No, I don't necessarily mean in a romantic way or for matches. It would be good if I got to know some people better, I mean.
