The characters will arrive one by one, in whatever vehicle suits them the best to the front of estate. It's a beautiful estate filled with plants and trees and little ponds and all kinds of little hideaways. But it all cumulates at the main house, where they will be dropped off and greeted by a familiar face who stands outside the house and welcomes them in. They will be able to bring one suitcase with items and clothes as well as their pet(s?).

The main thing to notice when you step into the house though is that cameras are everywhere. Despite the many little hideaways of this house, there's no privacy whatsoever. Oh well!

When everyone is gathered together, the host from earlier will greet everyone with a merry:

"Welcome, my affection seeking friends! This is where you'll be staying the next few weeks. Find a place to settle in and get to know each other! I'll be around, in case you need anything."

He genuinely seems to mean it, at least?! But that seems to be it, he'll slip away in the meantime and leave you all to it.

A few things to note, of course:

• There is only one "bedroom" which is a large room, with a closet full of futons to roll out and use in said room. Sleepover time!


• There is an extra, extra, extra, extra large futon for Messmer.


• In one of the rooms of the estate, there is a lovely piano ready for use. Feel free to ask for more instruments, if you'd like.


• The kitchen is filled with food of all kinds and modern appliances so folks can cook whatever they'd like! There is also a bar in the kitchen, stocked with alcohol.


• In the living room, there is a screen showing everyone's profiles. It is touch screen, so feel free to swipe through!


• There is, of course, a banner in the living room reading 有緣千里來相會 (which, for the keen-eyed, translates to "Fate brings together those that are a thousand miles apart"). This was definitely written by the host.


• There is a welcome cake.

[Bedroom. But he's still leaning back, and trying to waggle a finger at Nico while he twists to look at him, and misjudges his balance.

Falls backwards immediately.]

[ There was a Verso here. He’s gone now.

Nico starts a little, whipping around to see poor Verso sprawled on the floor behind the piano bench. ]

Mon ami… [ Snicker. Nico lifts a hand to try and fail at covering his grin. ] Are you all right?

[He is sitting up immediately, as though that might it less, ah, embarrassing.]

I'm fine. I've had worse falls. I can't say the same about my pride.

[Hefting himself up to his feet. AHEMS]

I meant spending a bit more time together, by the way.

[When he said about investigating their match potential outside of the music room. Help.]

[ Nico stands to give Verso a hand if he needs it. ]

I know. I am sorry, but I had to tease. You took it well, until you suddenly hit the floor.

[ How cute though. Nico is so charmed. ]

[He will sigh (performatively again) and grasp Nico's hand, allowing himself to be helped up.]

I promise I'm usually more graceful.

[Maybe his nerves and uncertainty really are gnawing at his mind, blindsiding him when he least expects it. Get it together, Verso.]

So do me a favor and pretend you never saw that.

[ Easily. ]

Would you care for a walk around the house, then? I cannot go outside while it is still daylight, but indoors should be fine.

[Good man.]

Sure. The manor is a sight even on the inside, too, so it shouldn't...

[He trails off. Blinks.]

Hold on. What's wrong with the daylight?

[crimsin]

It will kill me.

[ SO CASUAL. ]

Oh. Yes. I am a vampire.

[ Keeping the casual train rolling. ]

I have no reason to lie about it. Besides, it is fairly obvious, non?

[ Said as he flashes a wide grim, fangs and all. ]

I... suppose I should have put two and two together. But jumping straight into "this man must be a vampire" is not a habit of mine.

[Nervous little chuckle. Not out of fear, or even trepidation, but because this isn't what he expected — but maybe he should have. He's seen stranger than vampires, it's just that they never crossed into his social sphere. Battle sphere. Any sphere at all.]

Aren't vampires supposed to be dangerous? Dare I say, blood-thirsty?

[Nico seems too nice???]

[ He's not bothered by the questions, if only because they're to be expected. ]

My people have done much to deserve their fearsome reputation. I am what you would call... atypical.

[ He's not like other girls. (Vampires.) ]

I prefer the company of humanity.

[Atypical. He sure is. But Verso suspects that is a very, very good thing where vampires are concerned. Who thought he'd ever meet one on a dating game...?]

I see. Humanity thanks you, I'm sure. I thank you.

[...Easy as that, he accepts this fact. Okay. Nico is a vampire.]

But unfortunately, now I have a lot of annoying questions for you. Still up for that walk in the meanwhile?

[ It's actually... really touching to have a human accept him so readily. Nico practically beams, a smile that would put the sunlight to shame. (Don't tell him this.) ]

I am happy to answer whatever you care to ask, mon ami.

[reverso]

[Verso is in no position to judge someone who seems so good-natured just because he happens to be a vampire. Even if his preconceptions are not far off the mark, Nico bucks the trend. If for some reason that changes in the future, he can deal with it then, but surely the producers wouldn't let someone dangerous onto the show? (audience laugh track)

He leads them out of the music room, giving the piano once final glance before he goes. Then, it's a stroll through a hall to be nosy and find an interesting room...]

I guess I should ask if there are any other limitations I should know about. Vampire... disadvantages? [Banes.]

[ Nico is just grateful to have met someone so understanding right from the word go. It's a breath of fresh air for him. ]

You mean aside from the sunlight thing? We cannot touch silver or eat garlic... well, most cannot eat garlic. I have a tolerance!

Oh? [He sounds amused.] You’re a powerful sort, indeed — garlic tolerance! I’m impressed.

[ Basically, eating garlic until it only makes him normal amounts of sick. ]

[Verso is just going to assume that there is nothing wrong with that statement, and Nico will not regret eating too much garlic bread in the future.]

Wait, does that mean you don’t need blood? That you can eat— Er, drink other things?

[ Yeah. That's definitely a thing that's not going to happen. ]

Oh, no. Alas, the blood is very much a necessity. Human food does nothing for me in terms of sustenance. I just enjoy the taste.
