week one | arrival
The characters will arrive one by one, in whatever vehicle suits them the best to the front of estate. It's a beautiful estate filled with plants and trees and little ponds and all kinds of little hideaways. But it all cumulates at the main house, where they will be dropped off and greeted by a familiar face who stands outside the house and welcomes them in. They will be able to bring one suitcase with items and clothes as well as their pet(s?).
The main thing to notice when you step into the house though is that cameras are everywhere. Despite the many little hideaways of this house, there's no privacy whatsoever. Oh well!
When everyone is gathered together, the host from earlier will greet everyone with a merry:
"Welcome, my affection seeking friends! This is where you'll be staying the next few weeks. Find a place to settle in and get to know each other! I'll be around, in case you need anything."
He genuinely seems to mean it, at least?! But that seems to be it, he'll slip away in the meantime and leave you all to it.
A few things to note, of course:

A few things to note, of course:
- There is only one "bedroom" which is a large room, with a closet full of futons to roll out and use in said room. Sleepover time!
- There is an extra, extra, extra, extra large futon for Messmer.
- In one of the rooms of the estate, there is a lovely piano ready for use. Feel free to ask for more instruments, if you'd like.
- The kitchen is filled with food of all kinds and modern appliances so folks can cook whatever they'd like! There is also a bar in the kitchen, stocked with alcohol.
- In the living room, there is a screen showing everyone's profiles. It is touch screen, so feel free to swipe through!
- There is, of course, a banner in the living room reading 有緣千里來相會 (which, for the keen-eyed, translates to "Fate brings together those that are a thousand miles apart"). This was definitely written by the host.
- There is a welcome cake.

[ SO CASUAL. ]

Sorry. Kill you?

[ Keeping the casual train rolling. ]

Que diable... You're not joking, are you?

[ Said as he flashes a wide grim, fangs and all. ]

[Nervous little chuckle. Not out of fear, or even trepidation, but because this isn't what he expected — but maybe he should have. He's seen stranger than vampires, it's just that they never crossed into his social sphere. Battle sphere. Any sphere at all.]
Aren't vampires supposed to be dangerous? Dare I say, blood-thirsty?
[Nico seems too nice???]
no subject
My people have done much to deserve their fearsome reputation. I am what you would call... atypical.
[ He's not like other girls. (Vampires.) ]
I prefer the company of humanity.
no subject
I see. Humanity thanks you, I'm sure. I thank you.
[...Easy as that, he accepts this fact. Okay. Nico is a vampire.]
But unfortunately, now I have a lot of annoying questions for you. Still up for that walk in the meanwhile?
no subject
I am happy to answer whatever you care to ask, mon ami.
no subject
He leads them out of the music room, giving the piano once final glance before he goes. Then, it's a stroll through a hall to be nosy and find an interesting room...]
I guess I should ask if there are any other limitations I should know about. Vampire... disadvantages? [Banes.]

You mean aside from the sunlight thing? We cannot touch silver or eat garlic... well, most cannot eat garlic. I have a tolerance!
[ HE IS SO PROUD OF THIS
smashcut to two days later when he's laying face first on the floor ]
no subject
Oh? [He sounds amused.] You’re a powerful sort, indeed — garlic tolerance! I’m impressed.
no subject
[ Basically, eating garlic until it only makes him normal amounts of sick. ]
no subject
Wait, does that mean you don’t need blood? That you can eat— Er, drink other things?
no subject
Oh, no. Alas, the blood is very much a necessity. Human food does nothing for me in terms of sustenance. I just enjoy the taste.
no subject
Is that… going to be a problem here?
[The blood… requirement.]
no subject
[ That's encouraging! ]
no subject
Did you at least bring it up with our Overseer?
[Wei Wuxian could surely get the producers to accommodate his special… diet.]
no subject
[ He will forget. ]
no subject
Be sure to. Otherwise one of us might have to offer ourselves up for dinner.
[Actually. That’s probably someone’s kink, he realizes with surreal amusement. Huh. He’s sure some trashy romance novel has utilized the idea before.]
…Which might be a point in your favor, now that I think about it.
no subject
My bite does impart a sense of euphoria so someone is sure to enjoy it. However, I do not ever take what is not freely given, so if no one is willing, I am sure our dear Overseer can provide.
no subject
Euphoria? Who wouldn't want to.
no subject
[ Them's are just the facts. ]
no subject
Even so, I bet if you declare that you need a snack someday, you'll be surprised at how many might line up at the idea.
[But it sounds like he'll get his fill either way, so.]
So what else do I need to know about the life of a vampire?
no subject
[ One person already asked about it but he is Not Talking To Her, so. Oops. ]
What else would you like to know about the life of a vampire? I am an open book!
