The characters will arrive one by one, in whatever vehicle suits them the best to the front of estate. It's a beautiful estate filled with plants and trees and little ponds and all kinds of little hideaways. But it all cumulates at the main house, where they will be dropped off and greeted by a familiar face who stands outside the house and welcomes them in. They will be able to bring one suitcase with items and clothes as well as their pet(s?).

The main thing to notice when you step into the house though is that cameras are everywhere. Despite the many little hideaways of this house, there's no privacy whatsoever. Oh well!

When everyone is gathered together, the host from earlier will greet everyone with a merry:

"Welcome, my affection seeking friends! This is where you'll be staying the next few weeks. Find a place to settle in and get to know each other! I'll be around, in case you need anything."

He genuinely seems to mean it, at least?! But that seems to be it, he'll slip away in the meantime and leave you all to it.

A few things to note, of course:

• There is only one "bedroom" which is a large room, with a closet full of futons to roll out and use in said room. Sleepover time!


• There is an extra, extra, extra, extra large futon for Messmer.


• In one of the rooms of the estate, there is a lovely piano ready for use. Feel free to ask for more instruments, if you'd like.


• The kitchen is filled with food of all kinds and modern appliances so folks can cook whatever they'd like! There is also a bar in the kitchen, stocked with alcohol.


• In the living room, there is a screen showing everyone's profiles. It is touch screen, so feel free to swipe through!


• There is, of course, a banner in the living room reading 有緣千里來相會 (which, for the keen-eyed, translates to "Fate brings together those that are a thousand miles apart"). This was definitely written by the host.


• There is a welcome cake.

[He won't pry any more than she's comfortable with today. But he must admit he is curious — as a man who had to fight his way through many conflicts in the past, it's only natural that he wonders about everyone else's modes of combat.]

I do! Though it's sort of through a catalyst, not anything that comes directly from me. It's not really a big thing in my world.

[His mind wanders to Lune; the weapons she used, her little floating emblems, that would condense the elements of her spellwork into "stains" of energy to use for later.]

You mean a weapon. Magic wand? Staff?

Persona. It's kind of like another me, but it takes the shape of different mythological figures.

[ So no wands or such. ]

[Okay.

[He takes a few steps back, gesturing at the empty space between them.]

Strange and fantastical things are not at all foreign to Verso, but the nature of this strange and fantastical thing is still quite surprising to him. What an outfit it wears — and yet she said this was a figure of myth?

As much as I'd like to accept that, I'd also like to see an example of Chroma from you before I make any final decisions.

I don't mind showing off, but I'll be the first to admit that I wasn't exactly the spellcaster in the group.

[Lune had all the flash and flair of someone who used Chroma as easy as breathing; Verso has to incorporate it into more traditional attacks.

Case in point, his sword suddenly appears in his hand, wisping with a whorl of painterly-like energy as it solidifies. He grips it by its hilt and holds it up slightly for her to see.]

[ This is a very audience-like ooh. She is mildly impressed. ]

That makes it easier to carry around, I bet!

It's very handy.

[The sword itself seems to radiate with heat, but with a flick of his wrist, that heat is suddenly replaced with a bright, shimmering light.]

I can't put on too much of a show unless I want to shred the furniture, but this should get the point across.

[He slashes his sword diagonally to the side, and that light manifests as a "cut" that sears across the air a distance away. He doesn't actually slice at anything physical, because he doesn't want to wreck the house.]

Light!

[scooptimistic]

[ Okay. More than mildly impressed now. She's even clapping. ]

And you think I had you beat? My guns just shoot bullets, not light shows!

[reverso]

[The light around his blade dissipates fully, once more replaced with a brimming heat. But then he dismisses it outright.]

You have guns, too?

[Wait that's not the point.]

You do have me beat, you summon the visage of a mythological being. In case you've forgotten!

[ With a blithe laugh. ]

Should I just say there's something to appreciate about each of our methods?
