The characters will arrive one by one, in whatever vehicle suits them the best to the front of estate. It's a beautiful estate filled with plants and trees and little ponds and all kinds of little hideaways. But it all cumulates at the main house, where they will be dropped off and greeted by a familiar face who stands outside the house and welcomes them in. They will be able to bring one suitcase with items and clothes as well as their pet(s?).

The main thing to notice when you step into the house though is that cameras are everywhere. Despite the many little hideaways of this house, there's no privacy whatsoever. Oh well!

When everyone is gathered together, the host from earlier will greet everyone with a merry:

"Welcome, my affection seeking friends! This is where you'll be staying the next few weeks. Find a place to settle in and get to know each other! I'll be around, in case you need anything."

He genuinely seems to mean it, at least?! But that seems to be it, he'll slip away in the meantime and leave you all to it.

A few things to note, of course:

There is only one "bedroom" which is a large room, with a closet full of futons to roll out and use in said room. Sleepover time!

There is an extra, extra, extra, extra large futon for Messmer.

In one of the rooms of the estate, there is a lovely piano ready for use. Feel free to ask for more instruments, if you'd like.

The kitchen is filled with food of all kinds and modern appliances so folks can cook whatever they'd like! There is also a bar in the kitchen, stocked with alcohol.

In the living room, there is a screen showing everyone's profiles. It is touch screen, so feel free to swipe through!

There is, of course, a banner in the living room reading 有緣千里來相會 (which, for the keen-eyed, translates to "Fate brings together those that are a thousand miles apart"). This was definitely written by the host.

There is a welcome cake.

[She laughs a little, but can't respond to the flattery before he's leaning in for that effortless kiss.

And hey, that one's a little different--truly effortless, and with style.

She matches him in the kiss, if with a bit less pizazz and experience (though plenty of enthusiasm), and when she pulls back, it's thoughtfully.]

... Yeah, a kiss like that suits a guy like you, I think.

[ As far as kisses go, it's a perfectly acceptable one. Maybe she doesn't have a lot of experience, but enthusiasm will make up for that anyday. Kissing a partner that's eager to kiss you back, for the right reasons...

That earns a chuckle from him. ]

Should I take that as a compliment? I'd hate to assume. You know what they say about assuming!

[Does she know.............. she doesn't know.

It's fine.]

A human saying of some sort, probably, right?

Well, anyway! It's definitely a compliment! You kissed with... you know, pizazz!

[ "A human saying"...her profile did call her an AI with attitude. Maybe she's some nature of Intellitron? ]

"Pizazz"? Ha, that's a first. I like it, though! Did it help your...ahem, scientific research?

[ Said with cheek, but in a kind sort of way. ]

You bet! Nothing I can put into words yet though, not until I've got more data to aggregate and work off of.

[He may be teasing, but she answers seriously, if with good humor.]

I'll share my findings as soon as I've got something worth sharing.

Mm, that won't do. Not unless I can find something worthwhile to offer you in return.

[ Listen...he's only half joking. Information on who the best kissers are here could be surprisingly salient in deducing matches! ]

[She blinks, and then laughs.]

Quid pro quo, in other words? Well, what's equally valuable in your eyes?

Precisely. [ Tit for tat. Words he lives by.

He taps his chin, thoughtful, before landing on: ] If I hear any gossip from our fellow guests in the meantime, I can share it with you.

That sounds fair to me!

[Gossip for gossip, more or less.]

What everyone's into would be most useful for us piecing together matches, but I'm not picky. Eager to learn how good you are at gathering info!

[A beat.]

Oh, right. I'm Ringo.

Information-gathering is a chief part of my job back home, so I'll wager I won't let you down.

[ in this regard :) ]

It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Ringo. I'm the humble Aventurine, at your service. I shouldn't make a habit out of kissing people before I learn their name, should I?

[She just flaps a hand at that, amused.]

Eh, you'll learn everyone's names soon enough. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

What sort of job do you do, then? That sounds pretty relevant to my interests.

It's a little...difficult to describe. [ read: it's sketchy ] Formally, I'm one of the Ten Stonehearts of the Strategic Investment Department of the Interastral Peace Corporation. Put simply, I help reclaim valuable assets that have gone missing. Goods, vehicles, planets, things like that.

[ And any and all responsibilities that go along with that. ]

Does that align with your interests, Miss Ringo?

Sounds like some of the sorts of sidequests we take on as devil summoners.

[In other words:]

So yeah, it sure does! But a whole organization devoted to it, huh? I'm much more freelance than that.

A free agent? You might make a good Galaxy Ranger, in that case. If you'll indulge me...what does a devil summoner do? Summons devils, presumably, but surely there's more to it than that.

[ If she's doing similar work to him, anyway. He has the help of no demons, except his personal ones. ]

Galaxy Ranger... ha ha, that sounds like a Sentai team.

[She flaps a hand at that, and finally starts to meander towards the living room area. May as well get comfy since they're going to be chatting more beyond just her data gathering smooches.]

Yeah, we summon devils--demons as a whole, really--negotiate with 'em, handle crises and sidequest... you know, the usual protagonist schtick.

[ Sentai team...now it's his turn to have no idea what she's talking about. ]

So you're literally out there making deals with the devil? Astonishing! I have to ask - are you able to do that while you're here?

[ Let him see...it's probably fine to take demons out in the house, right? ]

I've got one of them with me, if that's what you're asking.

Wanna meet him?

[She grins, clearly unbothered by the thought of unleashing a demon upon the house and set.]

[ akihiko voice: i've been waiting for this ]

Please. I've seen a number of strange things in my life, but never a summoned demon.

[ Aventurine will regret this. ]

[He will.

He so will.

She laughs at that, and then summons her COMP--which is, of course, the tattoo around her leg. That just straight up lifts off and becomes gun. Let it happen.]

Alright. Let's say hi then, Jack Frost.

[And a friend appears. Wow!

Jack Frost inspects Aventurine curiously, and then, "What's up, ho?"]

[ what did u call him, little man ]

Oh. When you said demon, I was picturing something a little more...grotesque. He's quite cute, isn't he?

[ He tips his hat to Jack Frost. ] A pleasure, Mister Jack.

[Jack Frost does a little twirl, and:

"Obv-hee-ously! I'm the cutest de-hee-mon around! Don't you go ho-forgetting it, hee-homeboy!"

She just spreads her arms in a "what are you gonna do?" gesture. Demons, man.]

Obviously a lot of them are a lot more hideous, but I like Jack Frost, and he got first dibs on coming when I asked.

[ Hee-homeboy...what a distinguished gentleman. ]

If you ever want to make some cash on the side, I smell a merchandising opportunity here. You could get every kid in the cosmos buying a doll of this little monster.

[ It's me. I'm kids in the cosmos ]

You're too late. This little guy's likeness is already everywhere.

[Jack Frost just nods eagerly.

"I'm a pe-hee-ak celebrit-hee! But you've got a good eye for talent, ho!"]

Mind if I take his likeness back to my world, then? I know a good investment opportunity when I see it. It'd be a shame to let it go to waste.

[ Like yeah, retaking Penacony was cool of him and all, but he could have a plush empire... ]

Ask him, not me. It's his likeness.

[She sounds amused, though.

Jack Frost is staring Aventurine down.

"What's my cut, Fance-hee boy?"]
