Mr. Unflappable Aventurine! Or I guess he was perfectly flappable, but not the sort that Serpilia could manage to get much of a rise out of until he found himself a boyfriend that she could tease a little about.
From pretty early on she liked him a lot. There are definitely some similarities in Serpilia and Aventurine's behavior in how they're both very outwardly friendly and kind of charming, but they're playing a lot of cards close to their chest. In her world Sankta (basically angel people) have a reputation for being happy-go-lucky to the point of being kind of dippy sometimes, and Serpilia definitely plays with that expectation of Sankta at times to stress a light-hearted and fun personality that is part real, but part exaggerated for the sake of crafting an image.
Because she's like that, I think she could get a bit of a feel that he was a kindred spirit in some ways, though they never really got deep into it about how that might be.
He was fun and polite though, and he played along with games very well from the beginning. While I don't think Serpilia ever had a moment where she thought Aventurine might be her perfect match, from pretty early on he was someone that she wouldn't have minded if that had ended up being the case. While she prefers her men a little on the buffer side, she likes a pretty face, and he definitely has that to offer. He was also easy to talk to and get along with for the most part.
Gosh this is the problem with doing these two months later, I forget the order of things and some details. I will say though that while we never did rp out their walk through the woods, I think the teasing Serpilia's (soon to be) girlfriends together while drunk about the whole sauna thing did lead to a sense of deeper camaraderie.
During the secret reveals, even though names weren't put with secrets, Aventurine also managed to say the one thing that stung her about her own (negligent homicide), which I think did sting more because it came from someone she liked on top of the truth of the comment he made. All that said, she realizes her own mistakes in that moment, so it was never going to be something she felt bitter about, since it was her own actions that caused that.
I think by the end of the show her general sense of Aventurine was kind of the same in knowing the two were a little alike, but not necessarily knowing all the details of how that was probably true, but with the BIG difference that she'd gone from finding him a charming stranger, to finding him a genuinely likable friend. He'd proven himself pleasant to be around nearly every time she interacted with him, and she was genuinely happy for him that he found love in the game even if it was not with his perfect match either. She's wishing good luck only for Aventurine in both love, luck, and generally all things in life.
