Ringo truly never knew what to make of Luka from day one onward. He seemed like the sort to be pretty volatile but also kind of mysterious and cagey. This meant that it was her jrpg protag duty to befriend him. And honestly, at first there were definite sparks! That kiss dazzled her as someone who had never experienced anything like it, and he definitely had her attention.

It was pretty clear when she started to lose his attention though. She wasn't offended by this, honestly; it seemed kind of natural, because they didn't have that kind of immediate chemistry that he seemed to have with both Maya and Yingying. But it didn't change the fact that she still wanted to be his friend and figure out what his deal was! Even if they weren't a match on the show, she still felt like making that bond was worth the effort.

And she does consider him a friend! She's aware he might not see her the same way, which also doesn't bother her. Ringo kind of lives life at her own pace, and that includes befriending people as she pleases. She's happy to encourage him to live his happier life with Maya now, and is pleased that it worked out the way it did even if she still kind of doesn't really Get Him, honestly.

She also never really figured out how close he was to a crash out in the show. hilarious. protag of the year over here
