After one last night at the estate, everyone is set to big farewell on Sunday morning or afternoon or evening, however long they want to linger until they say their goodbyes.

There will be transportation to send them out of the estate and back to wherever they came from! They will leave just the way they arrived, of course. Taken all the way back home to their respective worlds.

But before that! Everyone is given one smartphone which they will be told can communicate with everyone else, including Wei Wuxian. If they want to call or text or whatever they want. There's already a group chat set up where Wei Wuxian has posted:

Safe travels, friends!

And Wei Wuxian will also share that they are able to travel to each other's worlds. They just need to return to the estate and from the estate, they can leave back to someone else's world. The estate will function as a "hub" of sorts for these travels.

[ Aventurine -- or is it Kakavasha now, she wonders -- has grown so much into himself in the past few weeks, in no small part thanks to the guiding lights that had surrounded him (had wanted to surround him, and he had wanted it in return), and Odile's laughter is little more than a soft huff when he calls out to her. ]

With two in tow, as it turns out, so I'm only making sure all is settled before we leave... I wanted to speak to you before going too, actually.

[ Without pretense, without transaction. It had worked fantastically with them... but it was time to let that go, perhaps. ]

[ If he's honest with himself, after everything that's happened in these four short weeks, he is dreadfully in debt to nearly everyone present, so maybe it's time for him to step away from a transactional approach, too. That, or he'll be paying back favors for years — but he also gets the impression that as well as they all seem to get along, they'll inevitably see a lot of each other before long.

So he stands a bit more lightly at Odile's approach, his smile easy and relaxed as he waves a hand. ]

Two in toe? Not Edamura and Rom, is it? Don't tell me you're another one of their "business partners".

[ Leaving that phrasing up to interpretation. ]

No, thankfully, but I do plan on visiting both in the future. Once my current pair have settled a bit.

[ A beat, and then in some feigned resignation: ]

... Yingying and Yi Sang.

[ It's the other worst couple. ]

[ His brows do fly up in surprise, but if anything, it's more out of relief. Yingying and Yi Sang have become very precious to him very quickly, and were he himself not going somewhere rather dangerous after this, he might have asked them the same.

That they have somewhere else to go rather than return to their worlds...it's heartening. ]

Is that so? Well, I don't need to tell you what a relief it is to hear that. Do you think they'll be able to properly take flight there?

[ It's a special metaphor now... ]

It is my hope they may, yes. I intend to ensure that they're well-taken care of while staying with me... nourishing their hearts, minds, and bodies, so that they'll be able to step forward on their own once more.

[ It isn't a forever arrangement. She knows that, even if she wish it were. But Odile has a number of people who seem intent on keeping her company throughout the years, so it isn't like she'll ever be left alone again. ]

Yingying in particular requires attention, given her returned form. I thought she might want to recover in a land closer to that which she remembers best, rather than a more-- modern sort, and my world can offer that. In Yi Sang's case, he's sorely in need of gentleness and peace.

[ Which her world can provide in spades, now.

... But, on that note, Odile inclines her head to him. ]

And should you ever wish the same, you need only drop by. I can guarantee no world ending events into the foreseeable future.

[ It's fitting, he thinks; even if it might not have been exactly the companionship that Odile was looking for, she still isn't going back alone, instead with two companions who can still make her and each other happy. What would the Odile of a few weeks back say if she saw herself now? He's been asking himself a similar question often enough.

Perhaps a profitless exercise, but it's still fascinating, how their various paths weave and turn and head somewhere new. ]

Considering we'll be heading back to topple an unjust regime, I'd say Nico and I may be in need of some peace before long. I'm not one to remain idle, but this little jaunt may have just convinced me of the merits of vacations.

[ Seeing as it changed his entire life. ]

[ The Odile of a few weeks ago wouldn't have imagined any outcome, much less the one given to her now, that much is certain. Nor the words that come so easily in response. ]

Oh, there's plenty of work for idle hands should either of you wish it. Fancy yourself a savior of cats stuck in trees, Aventurine?

[ A light, easy chuckle. ]

It's a tad outside my usual assignments, but I think I can work with that. I might even find some time to help some grannies cross the street, too.

[ He'd welcome the change of pace, really. ]

You know, I've been thinking...maybe "Aventurine" doesn't fit me so well after all. Not to keep everyone on their toes, but...Kakavasha is just fine, too.

Odile considers him and obvious hint to change her address, smile curling slightly. If he's sure, then... It seems losing the wager against himself was worthwhile. ]

I'd argue it does, but let me put it this way -- it has outlived its usefulness as a title for you, for opportunity has been found and seized. It's fitting you would leave it behind with a new path just ahead.

[ She's always liked it for him truthfully, from a meaning perspective -- gemstones are precious in her culture, and each one is special in its own way, but at the same time-- ]

You see, gemstones in Ka Bue are a funerary rite; when someone dies, we cremate the bodies and turn them into a gemstone that best represents them or their life. [ From Kakavasha to Aventurine was, to her, a living gravestone of who he had been, of what his sister asked him to be to survive the rest. The reverse, then... ] One doesn't tend to revive like a phoenix does from those very ashes, but... you've always been bright, Kakavasha. I feel fortunate to have met you as both.

[ Reborn from the ashes, is he? He might be reluctant to call it anything so poetic and beautiful, but maybe there's something to that. Even before he acknowledged it so tacitly, it feels like he's been living as Kakavasha for longer than a couple of days, here. Accepting his past on that bright horizon had planted the seed of identity back in his heart, but being here is what really allowed it to flourish and bloom.

He lets out a chuckle, but it's a gentle, little thing. ]

Do you? Well, I am blessed with good fortune, you know. It seems as though even if neither of us got what we expected from this venture, we wound up finding something worthwhile all the same — and that makes us rather lucky, I'd say.

[ He'll stop short of giving his good luck all the credit for it — this was all a team effort, after all. ]
