Earlier on, Shoko might have easily offered that she simply needed a break, a change in scenery, some time away - and all of those things still hold true. She's not here for a wish, or even to fall in love or find a life partner.

I... wanted to feel seen, I guess. For more than just my role or my past. And I wanted to see myself differently, too.

More and more sorcerers are understanding how to use cursed energy to heal themselves and others. But when it comes to how all of that interfaces with the human body... I want to keep studying it. I could have easily been a healer without becoming a doctor. But I'm both, because a lot of sorcerers are only concerned with strength or power or getting out there to help. This is my own way of leaving things better than I found them.
