[ It's okay, the garlic bread debacle was hard to miss. ]

I am fond of reds, personally. Ah, not because of the connotations. [ lol ] We can see what the server recommends, as well, if you are feeling adventurous.

[ ngl buddy he has so many questions about that. But -- that's for later. For now, he closes his menu and just sits back in his chair. ]

I'll just have whatever you're having, Mr. Nico. I think I can trust in your tastes.

Well, I am going to trust in the server's taste. What is life without a little adventure now and then?

[ It's just wine, Nico.

In any case, he does flag down a member of the staff and asks for a bottle of whatever they recommend and a couple of glasses. It's going on the show's tab so Nico has no qualms with getting them something nice. ]

[ Rom's quiet and just nods along as Nico places the order. He wasn't lying that he's not much of a wine person -- he prefers sake on the rare times he indulges -- but he also doesn't really care about what he's drinking. It was just a vehicle to try and get a proper conversation started. ]

Hunger for a bit of a thrill, hm? I guess I don't disagree ... [ Said placidly as their server departs, before he leans against the tabletop a little bit. ] Is that what drew you to Mr. Aventurine?

The thrill?

[ Ha laughs, a light a bubbly sound, a few shades of sunshine brighter than even his usual. ]

In part, perhaps. To tell you the truth, I think he is quite sweet... ah, but do not tell him I said so. He has a reputation to protect.

[ He certainly understands the importance of maintaining an image. ]

... it was most impressive, you know. What you said up on stage during the ceremony.

You think so? I only tried to convey what is in my heart.

[ A heart that he gives away perhaps far too easily and far too often. He simply can't help it. ]

How are you feeling about your experience so far, mon ami?

[ He just smiles vaguely at that. The fact that Nico had been able to 'convey what was in his heart' so clearly, without hesitation, is what makes it so impressive. ]

It's been an interesting time, certainly. Though I'm sure it's obvious I'm not in my element as much as you are ...

I do have quite a bit of experience when it comes to romance. I would not measure yourself against me.

Besides- [ He gives Rom a playful nudge with an elbow. ] I think you can be quite charming when you put your mind to it.

Haha. I suppose I'm charming enough to cultivate a decent fanbase. Though it did take a fair amount of work.

Actually, I was wondering about that, Mr. Nico. If you might be able to give me any advice when it comes to ... pursuing such matters. I can't imagine it's been easy for you, as a non-human being.

[ He does indeed open his mouth to protest, but Rom just keeps on breezing right past that little bit of conversation. :/ ]

I would not say it has been especially difficult because of what I am. At least, not here. But I am happy to give advice if you would like. What can I do for you?
