Furina and Maya are taken to a film festival. It's one of those indie film festivals held in a park where you can chat with the cast and director after.

Highlights

There are snacks sold!
They will be given a cozy blanket to cuddle under during the screening.
The camera crew is distracting the audience.

Now this is my kind of date.

[ Friend date. But she's alight with excitement. ]

You really get to see a lot of creative minds at work here!

It's the culmination of so many fantastic efforts... even if some of them are a little fledgling and pedestrian. [Look...she has very high standards and wouldn't be caught working on a few of these titles, but she can still appreciate the passion being a genuine first effort.]

... [Furina glances around to the other guests that have gathered before gently removing the blanket from her lap.] Maya, will you excuse me for a moment?

[She's going to go berate the film crew.]

Do you need me to back you up, or...?

[ Ah, there she goes. Off to berate the film crew. ]

There's no need. I can be quite intimidating when I put my all into it!

[Though Maya definitely can feel free to follow her along and offer an assist! "Intimidating" doesn't seem the most suitable to Furina, and it never really suited her before... but as a director...

Well, she begins to give them a dressing down for the ages.] You're filmmakers, aren't you? Show some self-respect for your profession! All these production funds, and you can't spare a wide-angle or hand us a personal hand-held for recording?

[ She's following along, though she. Uh. Is not in any way qualified to scold them the way Furina is. She just settles for folding her arms over her chest and nodding sternly!!

Yeah!! Hand-helds!! ]

[It's fine; the Maya menacing in the background both helps sell it and provides a threatening(?) support to Furina's complete scolding of the camera crew for doing a complete disservice to the blood, sweat, tears, and art on display here.

It seems her impassioned speech doesn't fall on completely deaf ears; the crew yields a bit of space. At least their lights won't be shining in the eyes of attendees or causing the projection screen in horrible backlight.

Furina crosses her arms.]

Hmph, they could - should, really, but I'm feeling magnanimous - be fined for disrupting a public event.

Well, if they forget themselves, we can always report them!

[ Maya is not always magnanimous. ]

Buuuut I think you really drove the point home, so I think it should be fine! Let's think positive and enjoy the rest of the experience!

[Maya is so tough and cool...and cutthroat when it comes to applying justice, it seems. There are some people Furina knows who would get along splendidly with her, though she'd also be a little afraid to introduce them.]

Hmph... my voice still carries some authority, after all! If they turn out not to take their craft very seriously, they wouldn't have any objections to never working again, either. Come, let's take a souvenir picture and pick our next viewing! [It sounds like some spooky movies are on the schedule as the night carries on...]

I saw there was one about a vengeful ghost haunting her cheating husband and he thinks it's just a series of coincidences!

[ She's here for all of this. ]

A vengeful spirit... [Furina repeats. That doesn't bring back the best of memories, thinking about all those missing women who could not have been saved. On the other hand, it sounds like just desserts will once again be deserved after the fact...

It's the kind of catharsis that can only come from fiction, so it's interesting. And Maya is just a little scary for being so enthusiastic about it.]

Is that also the kind of justice you like to see in your stories, Maya? Turning the perpetrator into a fool for his comeuppance?

Well, I like the kind of justice where it's a good old-fashioned ass whooping, but you know!

Karma's fine, too!

[ If violence doesn't work, then justice can be a little more drawn out. ]

...Your idea of justice is a little frightening! [Furina laughs nervously, but it's the good-natured sort of nervous, at the very least.]

But it makes for a really exciting story! And maybe...for you, it's true to how things work in life?

[Is Maya actually a vigilante...? She supposedly broke the law. How scandalous if so.]
