No outright changes this week either. Week three rolls around, braced for impact as ever. The estate is still intact, the contestants are still motivated, things are looking good.
Well, aside from the fact you all had a blackout this weekend. That wasn't so good.
Either way, when Monday rolls around, Wei Wuxian seems to be in a cheery mood as he greets everyone Monday morning.
"Everyone, come here, come here. I have an announcement!"
Better go see what that's about, huh?

He doesn't mind it, really, but he had to pretend to find this offensive, scoffing and stepping back to free himself! His hair is a mess now.]
No, it's because my hair "stylists" often fail to do a good job. I suppose I can't blame the Gestrals, though; they do it all for free.

Gestrals, hm? You have a styling team who works for free? Maybe you're the one with prodigious luck.
That's said, I'm sure you'd look just as handsome in full grey. It'd give you that classic, "aged like a fine wine" kind of look.
tiny e33 spoilers
I'm happy you think so, but it makes me feel...
[He pauses, as though he knows he is treading on more somber territory than the silliness that they've garnered so far with this conversation, so Verso opts to say casually-]
It feels like the one thing wrong with me, you know? [one thing. lol. lmao,] I'm not supposed to age at all.

A little imperfection soothes the soul, doesn't it? [ As someone who has spent years cultivating an image, a facade...he gets it. Maybe he should...tread a bit more gently, but he follows up a moment later with: ] Why aren't you supposed to age?
[ Long-lived species aren't uncommon across the cosmos, but they do still age, and even then, it has its drawbacks. ]

It's a bit of a complicated tale, but... my mother, she basically "gave" me this gift. For fear of losing me.
[But we all know how this kind of tale goes, don't we.]
I actually consider it more of a curse, though. Immortality.

If Aventurine is surprised to hear Verso use the word, he doesn't show it, though his expression grows just the slightest bit softer at the edges. Though he's never really worked with the Xianzhou directly himself, everyone in the cosmos knew about the Ambrosial Arbor Crisis, and Mara. How the gift of immortality from Yaoshi had turned into an unspeakable curse.
That it's the same for Verso is not terribly unexpected. ]
That rather fits the bill more often than not, doesn't it? It's the same where I'm from, too. [ A beat. ] How...long have you been alive, then?
