No outright changes this week either. Week three rolls around, braced for impact as ever. The estate is still intact, the contestants are still motivated, things are looking good.

Well, aside from the fact you all had a blackout this weekend. That wasn't so good.

Either way, when Monday rolls around, Wei Wuxian seems to be in a cheery mood as he greets everyone Monday morning.

"Everyone, come here, come here. I have an announcement!"

Better go see what that's about, huh?

[ Oh, very! And instinctively, he's leaning back against Nico, before his mind really catches up with him, because, well, the drunkenness. It's one hell of a day, and they haven't had much of a chance to catch up... ]

Oh, there you are, handsome! [ Reaching up to pat Nico's cheek. ] Don't you worry, I'll miss you the mostest of the most, because...I like-like you. You're leaving tonight, aren't you? For the secret clubhouse.

[ He says that very surreptitiously, which also makes him giggle. He's a silly drunk, at least?! To balance out the Sober Depression and Anxiety. ]

You "like-like" me, do you? Oh, mon étoile, you are very drunk.

[ It's kind of cute but he really has to wonder how Aventurine is doing to get to this point in the first place. ]

I do not have to be anywhere at any given time. You are not rid of me so easily.

[ Don't worry about it!!!

But there seems to be just a little bit of tension that bleeds out of him at hearing that Nico isn't departing anytime soon. He knows that's part of the game, that he'll be staying at the honeymoon suite from here on out...but he'll greedily hog him tonight if allowed.

(This is definitely taking place after the ill-advised Sauna Heist. He probably still has a few leaves in his hair.) ]

Hah. As if I'd let you go so soon, anyway...

[ He turns in Nico's arms, lacing his fingers behind his neck. ]

I tried to sneak into the secret clubhouse earlier, you know.

[crimsin]

[ Nico has yet to find a moment to properly talk to Aventurine after everything anyway, so he's not keen to leave him. He is, however, quite drunk, so Nico isn't sure they'll be doing any deep soul-searching tonight.

Well. They can still enjoy each others' company at least. ]

Is that why you look like you crawled through the jungle?

[ He reaches up to pluck a leaf out of Aventurine's hair. ]

Since you are here and not there, I take it your plan was not successful.

[gamboler]

[ A laugh bubbles out of him, carefree and warm. Funny how easily Nico seems to draw that out in him, when all he's had to drink hadn't driven those shadows away fully. ]

Unfortunately not. And I was so ready to greet you with a rose between my teeth, but instead we were unable to find the path! It seems the production really is determined to keep us apart.

[ ...In a physical sense, maybe, but that physical sense of being close to someone has done wonders for him this past week. It's...a little harder, not, to consider relinquishing it. ]

[ Oh, he does love that laugh, loves knowing he's the reason for it. Aventurine is so precious when he doesn't let his worries gnaw at him, or when he isn't putting on a show. ]

Only for a week, at least.

[ He wonders if Aventurine will be alright. If the nightmares will shake him awake without Nico there to curl him into his arms.

They have to play the game, and he knows that, but goddess, he's going to miss being by this man's side. ]

... And we have tonight.

[ ...He'll be alright. He's been spoiled for a week, but that hasn't unlearned him of all his coping habits, for better or worse.

And we have tonight. ]

Hm. You'd like to hang around here a little longer, sunshine? It'd be a shame to lose your warmth so quickly...

[ For a number of reasons. He can't ask Nico to stay here every night, but...tonight, even more than before, he just...needs to be wanted. ]

I would hate to deprive you of my warmth, mon étoile.

[ He dips his head, his face a whisper away from the side of Aventurine's own, to whisper lowly in his ear, ]

Let me have you one more time, before I go.

[gamboler]

[ Even given his current state, there's no helping the way those words make his heart flutter, his skin growing warm beneath his collar...

...it aches, too, the sound of one more time, but it's easier to push past the feeling, inebriated as he is. ]

...Then I'll be yours. I could never deny you, darling.

[ He'll unlatch from around Nico's neck so his fingers can glide down his arms instead, snagging his hands so he can pull him along. ]
