No outright changes this week either. Week three rolls around, braced for impact as ever. The estate is still intact, the contestants are still motivated, things are looking good.

Well, aside from the fact you all had a blackout this weekend. That wasn't so good.

Either way, when Monday rolls around, Wei Wuxian seems to be in a cheery mood as he greets everyone Monday morning.

[ so these are "fruit snacks!" it reminds her of some of the jelly served with fruit in her village. they're so cute and little, even shaped like fruits... ]

[ Oh, goodness gracious. Odile's smile tugs up just a little, tapping Yingying's nose with the fruit snack before pressing the small thing to her mouth. ]

Where haven't you been touched? I'd prefer to lay my hands where few else have.

[ It isn't said overly flirtatiously, because that's not who Odile is, but it is slightly playful in that "are you two friends or are you............." outsider's perspective way. ]

[HELLO? Furina's has another silent mid-cheesecake reaction to that one. Hard not to overhear that. Odile is reserved and her feelings hard to parse, not unlike some people Furina knows, but different in her own way...hearing her say things like that, even in a more neutral tone, is definitely enough to make her think that Odile has plenty of experience, secretly, in being a heartbreaker.

Ringo babe we have to leave the honeymoon suite more. Clearly there are juicy developments being missed.]

[ Look how demurely she's going to eat this fruit snack, Odile. Her lips even brush the tips of her fingers for effect, having too much fun playing like this. Especially with Odile, who she didn't expect this from... ]

Oh? How experienced you are, all these honeyed words...

[ And here she thought she was going to be able to turbo nuke Odile into fluster... she'll have to try harder... ]

[ Yingying will have to try much harder than that... The brush will give her pause though, a small finger twitch in surprise, and Odile debates the merits of further playing along before gently cupping Yingying's chin with her fingers. Not a whole hand, just the tip.

... That should do, shouldn't it? For her energy needs. ]

Only as gentle as you'd like, Yingying. You're a tree, not a flower... though perhaps "sapling" would suit you better, for how easy you bend towards nourishing water.

Anyway, that makes her chuckle again, looking into Odile's eyes seriously. She's in good health, and not too exhausted, unlike some of their other housemates. If she's really offering, then...

Odile will feel a gradual but quick drain of her energy, noticeable both through the duration and after. An ache of fatigue will linger, as will some minor muscle soreness. It should only last for a few hours, or a day at most. ]

A sapling needs a lot of attention and care to sprout, [ She rests her chin in Odile's hand more heavily — thanks to the energy transfer, Yingying generally looks much more lively, a darker flush in her cheeks, a brightness to her eyes. Like a flower that's perked up. ] Happy to provide, are you?

[ Between the lines, she's watching carefully to make sure Odile isn't too effected. Mercifully, if she is, Yingying knows how to transfer what she took right back. ]

[ There is a soft exhale as the energy leaves her, an unusual experience that reminds her of the drain that comes with heavy Craft use, but... she does not seem worse for wear, woman that takes care of herself as she is. Age is only for teasing purposes, truthfully.

Her hand curves to better fit Yingying's face, squeezing gently before falling away again. ]

I haven't the patience for most plants. [ Gardening has never been her thing. That's where Yi Sang's strength lies. ] But I can mind a young tree from time to time, so long as I'm shaded in the summer by her branches full of bloom.

[ Yingying will never truly be apart from someone, unspoken as the sentiment is. Odile will certainly find ways to stay friends. ]

The wisteria blooms early, "from time to time." You may find shade in the springtime, too.

[ She raises a curled finger to her own chin, contemplating. Between the three of them — Odile, Yi Sang, and herself — they really do have a guild of poets. Odile might find her proximity to Yingying to be fleeting or secondary, but Yingying doesn't tend to view things in absolutes, nor in rankings. Also, at this point in the competition, the place at which she's set everyone is quite level — she can be rational and self-aware, unclouded by her own personal feelings.

So, if Odile sought the shade at another time, it would be there. Even if she ceases to be on this plane. ]

If ever I go missing, just seek out the wisteria. Perhaps you won't see me, but I'll be among the blooms, watching over your summer regardless.

When the wisteria's long branches wave in the wind, the shuffle of their flowers will remind me of your laughter. In every leaf I shall find you.

[ Which does sound poetic, yes, but-- ]

An old Vaugardian tale describes the stars [ whatever those are ] as such, when a sailor finds themselves shipwrecked with an unusual companion -- one that has traveled far and wide to understand the world around himself. Rather than miss their little friend so terribly, whenever they look up they will remember the time spent together.

[ ... And so too, will Odile remember them. A little sentimental, perhaps, but her lowered voice does speak to how this is for Yingying and Yingying alone -- at least as far as the rest of the group goes. ]
