No outright changes this week either. Week three rolls around, braced for impact as ever. The estate is still intact, the contestants are still motivated, things are looking good.

Well, aside from the fact you all had a blackout this weekend. That wasn't so good.

Either way, when Monday rolls around, Wei Wuxian seems to be in a cheery mood as he greets everyone Monday morning.

"Everyone, come here, come here. I have an announcement!"

Better go see what that's about, huh?

[Nay. Nay, it is not, for he knows that he'd much rather forget some moments of his own.

However, it's too sad to just leave the card pressed up against him. Ergo, he lifts his hand out of the water and extends his wrist to Verso, soggy secret and all.]

Then I shall return this to you, ere you find yourself exposed against your will.

[reverso]

[The card cries out in silent despair at the dread reality of never being known.

Verso, however, has somehow found all of it very funny in these last few seconds, not to mention impressed and grateful for Yi Sang's conscientiousness. He shakes his head, relenting a little.]

...No, it's fine. I told myself I'm being more open this week, you know. So go ahead, read it.

[poans]

[Mrrm.]

If it is fine, then . . .

[With care, he peels the card from his wrist and straightens it out with his hands to the best of his abilities.]

[reverso]

[The card is very soggy, the ink is very runny, but if he squints he can probably make out the text: One of you has a full head of grey hair but dyes it black.]

[His eyes flit from the card to Verso.]

. . . Is it not to your taste?

[reverso]

[Maybe the real secret is the fact that Verso, despite his skrunkly first impressions, can be a little vain. From time to time.]

It makes me look like an old man.

[verso you ARE an old man-]

[Yi Sang would likely disagree, but it's not for him to decide how Verso should perceive himself.]

While I cannot speak on the claim, there is no shame in choosing to present yourself as you like.

[reverso]

[Yi Sang takes it in such stride that Verso feels a bit silly for flipping the card into the water in the first place.]

...I suppose not. But I've been called vain for it before.

[poans]

It is simply another mark of who you are, and not one I would count as a strike against you. So there is no need to obscure yourself within the water.

[reverso]

Maybe you're right.

[He pauses, thinking of something they've discussed before.]

Remember when I said that you might've been comparing yourself too much to your reflection? Well. I know first-hand how that feels.

[poans]

[Yi Sang pauses. He does remember, and Verso was correct. He had spent so long thinking about what he couldn't have that he'd stopped altogether.]

. . . Do you?

[reverso]

...Yes.

[Easy to give that advice, even harder to adhere to it. Again, he's a hypocrite.]

I have another reflection, too. And he never went grey. [Never had the chance.] Silly as it sounds, my hair is just one more reminder of how I'm not... him.

[poans]

[The details are lost on him, but the perspective presented is an interesting one when he has longed to be like his own winged reflection. Still, there's no contradiction in his mind, and what Verso says is the farthest thing from silly.]

All reflections show possibilities with the exception of one—the you whom you match in the mirror. Id est, Verso, you are your own person, regardless of what lies on the other side.

And do you really believe that for yourself, Yi Sang?

[No doubt, no indignity. A genuine question.]
