No outright changes this week either. Week three rolls around, braced for impact as ever. The estate is still intact, the contestants are still motivated, things are looking good.
Well, aside from the fact you all had a blackout this weekend. That wasn't so good.
Either way, when Monday rolls around, Wei Wuxian seems to be in a cheery mood as he greets everyone Monday morning.
"Everyone, come here, come here. I have an announcement!"
Better go see what that's about, huh?

[ A moment in thought. Unfortunately, his memory's just good, not photographic, so he can't be 100% sure of what he's about to say -- but he's sure Ringo will have exact numbers for confirmation. ]
... it feels like we've both tested and gotten negative confirmation for male-female pairings more than any other combination. Do you think that merits more focus in hopes of knocking the category out, or should we direct our attention elsewhere?

You're right.
[She pauses a moment to think, head tilted.]
From the Match Ceremony, seven male-female pairings have been checked. Eight if you include the Yi Sang and Yingying duplicate, plus one Truth Booth check.
Four male-male pairings, two female-female pairings plus one duplicate of Poppy and Shoko--and yours truly's Truth Booth, of course.
We should really be going all in on checking our same sex matches, especially the female-female ones.

Numbers-wise I suppose that makes sense. [ He's ultimately a humanities guy, not a numbers guy, so he will trust in your calculations, Ringo. Thank you. ] And considering who I've heard expressing interest in each other for this upcoming selection ...
[ A dry laugh. ]
It's a pity all our matches weren't same sex. That sure would have made things easier for us.

A little too easy, yeah?
We'll figure this out. I honestly have high hopes for both Verso and Nico, and Maya and Aventurine. I think both of them could be matches.

[ Again, though. Too easy. ]
My vote would also be for those two pairs as the remaining two lights from our first week. Unfortunate that we can only get a confirmation on one at most from the Truth Booth, but it does narrow down our options. Other than them, do you think maybe we should push towards people aiming for same-sex pairings during this week's ceremony, barring any special 'sparks'?

Makes sense to me. Far as I can tell, we've got two holes in our logic: the same sex pairings, especially female-female matches, and the inter-team pairings. We've been cautious to not let people be leftover, but this might be the week for it.
Well! If the Truth Booth goes well, anyway. [A laugh, bright and chipper.] Furina and I can't save the wishes this week if something goes really badly, after all.

[ Serpilia already was admittedly since the last round up discussion. ]

[Fingerguns.]
That also helps us start investigating inter-team matches too, since it'll change things up by necessity.
