week two | match ceremony

Tonight, we're back in the courtyard. It looks similar to last week with the slight exception, there is now a plush couch near the stage, and a single lantern already lit above the stage. There's still food, drinks, all sorts of things available for the contestants to snack on and enjoy.

On the stage is Wei Wuxian, looking presentable in his hanfu for today. He's busy twirling his flute in hand as he waits for the contestants to show up and find their places, and when they do he'll extend both arms out, welcoming the cast.

"Second match ceremony! You're exempt from a black out tonight because you've already found one of the matches."

He'll gesture to that couch from earlier, which seems to be The Special Seat for Ringo and Furina to sit at if they'd like.

"Now, we know how this goes so let's not delay anymore! Team Wangji, it's your turn to announce your matches!"

[Furina is out of her usual blue for this evening ceremony after stumbling out of the manor and making a quick pitstop at the honeymoon suite to change.

The coffee she has clutched in one hand like a lifeline is the only potential indicator that she did, in fact, rage at the rager that she herself put on.]

Ah, so we'll be safe either way...while it would be fair of me to take some of the credit [gremlin giggle,] I don't think you all will need the extra help in the slightest.

[Furina thriving, Furina living her best life.

Ringo will just lean against her with a contented almost-flop once they're in The Special Seat, beaming.]

I'm really excited for this one now!

[enscene]

[She leans into the flop, cheek pressing to the crown of Ringo's head.]

Still, it's a pity you never had the chance to go up and put a voice to your choices... maybe you can tell me about them later?

[With a bit of a pit of hollow uncertainty in her gut, she wonders if perhaps it's better not to know.]

[This is so comfy... Ringo is thriving. Going from minimal physical contact to feeling like she can just sprawl into Furina's space and be welcomed has been really nice.]

Hm! I don't mind. I don't think they'll be very surprising to you, though.

[Her first choice was always Furina, so.]

Really? [Surprise, but a happy one.

The physical affection is so nice. She's unused to it, used to living in a state where the only arms that could wrap around her were her own. She fidgets a bit with the hand in her lap, which is the only outward sign of any unfamiliarity.]

Maybe this is a topic for later discussion, when we're no longer up on this stage. Since we'll be departing soon, after all.

[Wow, they can finally gossip in private without god and everyone overhearing them... what a luxury.

Anyway, time for them to lock in to watch the match ceremony, which will surely go well and surely not result in a blackout.

At least they get to cuddle during it.]
