The characters will arrive one by one, in whatever vehicle suits them the best to the front of estate. It's a beautiful estate filled with plants and trees and little ponds and all kinds of little hideaways. But it all cumulates at the main house, where they will be dropped off and greeted by a familiar face who stands outside the house and welcomes them in. They will be able to bring one suitcase with items and clothes as well as their pet(s?).

The main thing to notice when you step into the house though is that cameras are everywhere. Despite the many little hideaways of this house, there's no privacy whatsoever. Oh well!

When everyone is gathered together, the host from earlier will greet everyone with a merry:

"Welcome, my affection seeking friends! This is where you'll be staying the next few weeks. Find a place to settle in and get to know each other! I'll be around, in case you need anything."

He genuinely seems to mean it, at least?! But that seems to be it, he'll slip away in the meantime and leave you all to it.

A few things to note, of course:

There is only one "bedroom" which is a large room, with a closet full of futons to roll out and use in said room. Sleepover time!

There is an extra, extra, extra, extra large futon for Messmer.

In one of the rooms of the estate, there is a lovely piano ready for use. Feel free to ask for more instruments, if you'd like.

The kitchen is filled with food of all kinds and modern appliances so folks can cook whatever they'd like! There is also a bar in the kitchen, stocked with alcohol.

In the living room, there is a screen showing everyone's profiles. It is touch screen, so feel free to swipe through!

There is, of course, a banner in the living room reading 有緣千里來相會 (which, for the keen-eyed, translates to "Fate brings together those that are a thousand miles apart"). This was definitely written by the host.

There is a welcome cake.

Oh, I see. I'm merely a human, but I'm from Fontaine. [So it's some kind of biological shared trait... unless Serpilia is exaggerating how widespread the enjoyment of sweets is culturally.

And, since she pointed it out, Furina gets socially engineered into commenting on her headgear.]

That halo of yours really catches the light - like stained glass! It's almost like a crown.

[ As far as Serpilia is concerned, she's just a human too, but perhaps she'll get into that with Furina at some other point.

For now she glances up, even though she can't see her own halo without looking in a mirror. ]

This little thing? To be honest, I have a pretty plane Jane one compared to some people.

[ The standard ring rather than one with some patterning. Though hers is at least a lovely shade of pink. ]

Really? You wear it very well. [She looks like cotton candy royalty, really.]

Extravagance is easy to make an impression with, but refinement takes talent. It's all about how you style it, no matter how plain it is.

[She's definitely complimenting her, somewhere between praising her sense of style and flat-out calling her pretty.]

You're Serpilia, right? Hehe, I did some reconnaissance before rewarding myself with desert!

[ She looks pretty pleased with the compliments regardless. Complimenting halos doesn't happen that often where she's from, though critiques for people with flaws in theirs happens, unfortunately. ]

And youuuu must be Furina. I also took a glance at those profiles, and if we're talking about style, then there's no way I could mistake you for anyone else.

Correct: You're in the presence of none other! [She removes her hat to return a flashy bow. She is unmistakably Furina, in more ways than one, though the most important one now is, of course, the one referred to on the monitors.]

The first thing the world will see of you is your person... so of course a memorable sense of style is useful for that! Even if I tried to change it now, I don't think I could.

[Even when she didn't want to be noticed, dressing like this had been most comfortable. There is at least a little reassurance in that being so unchanging.]

[ Not exactly sure if she can pull off a bow nearly so grand herself, Serpilia will settle for a small clap like she's in an audience watching a performer introduce herself. She's definitely got some flair, this one. ]

That's kind of a shame! Not that I think you should change it, but I bet you'd look good in a lot of different types if you wanted to try some out.

Well... Even if my style is pretty intractable, I can still dress up now and then, can't I? For events...and things like that. Otherwise, shopping wouldn't be any fun.

[It sounds like shopping is, in fact, very fun for her - perhaps even a bit too much. Furina can justify it very quickly.]

So don't lose hope! Perhaps you'll be able to impart your style recommendations to me after all.

Oooh, do I get to pick something out for you? I tend to have a pretty practical sense of style though. Not that I don't think you'd look really cute in it, but it'll be a lot different if you let me choose something.

Though now that I'm thinking about it.

[ She puts her fork down so she can lean back and give Furina some careful consideration. ]

We're probably about the same height, so you could just borrow some of my clothing if you wanted to get it a test run before I foist outfits of your own onto you.

Exchanging clothes? [Furina perks up, and if the curled strand of her crowning her head happened to be cute little bunny ears instead, it would lift with interest.] How exciting and novel! You say your sense of style is practical, but I suppose it's practical to share outfits when you can, too...

[It's a stark contrast to Furina's eclectic, bouncing interests that can be both sparked and redirected with a simple glimpse of an idea. Case in point: The thought of trading outfits has her excitement fanned. What fun it would be.]

Would you try some of mine?

[ Oh! Adorable! It seems like such a mundane thing to her, but must not be something Furina is used to if she's calling it novel. At least it seems to be something she's excited about rather than offended by. ]

Hehe, you wouldn't mind? I'm not sure how good I'll look in something with ruffles, but it'd be kind of fun to try it out.

I think you'd look very sophisticated - it'd give you a very commanding presence! [Furina puts her hands on her hips, giving her an evaluative look before nodding firmly.

Definitely...with the halo and the bright wings, Serpilia dressed in this kind of fashion would cut an extremely noble figure.]

I brought a few things I've never had the chance to wear [because she impulse buys like it's nobody's business], so you can have your pick! Just, uh, don't be concerned by the state of my trunk!

[ Commanding, huh? She kind of digs that. She's definitely the most casual of her colleagues most of the time, so that could make for a fun change of pace. ]

No worries! I won't judge at all!

[ She pauses, considering something for a moment. ]

Oh, though you might want to wait and let me open my bag instead of trying to get in yourself. I've got some failsafes on it to keep people from rooting around my things.

[That is an extremely worrying thing to say about luggage that's in the same room where she's sleeping! Furina had no idea she was sharing her bedroom with booby traps... though she might have at least been able to hazard a guess, thanks for Rom's strange clanking bag.]

Haha! [Furina laughs a little just in case it's a joke she missed.] I would never think to seize your belongings without your permission.

cleaning up w1 threads that feel like they have an easy close so i can feel like a god
