week one | arrival

The characters will arrive one by one, in whatever vehicle suits them the best to the front of estate. It's a beautiful estate filled with plants and trees and little ponds and all kinds of little hideaways. But it all cumulates at the main house, where they will be dropped off and greeted by a familiar face who stands outside the house and welcomes them in. They will be able to bring one suitcase with items and clothes as well as their pet(s?).

The main thing to notice when you step into the house though is that cameras are everywhere. Despite the many little hideaways of this house, there's no privacy whatsoever. Oh well!

When everyone is gathered together, the host from earlier will greet everyone with a merry:

"Welcome, my affection seeking friends! This is where you'll be staying the next few weeks. Find a place to settle in and get to know each other! I'll be around, in case you need anything."

He genuinely seems to mean it, at least?! But that seems to be it, he'll slip away in the meantime and leave you all to it.

A few things to note, of course:

• There is only one "bedroom" which is a large room, with a closet full of futons to roll out and use in said room. Sleepover time!


• There is an extra, extra, extra, extra large futon for Messmer.


• In one of the rooms of the estate, there is a lovely piano ready for use. Feel free to ask for more instruments, if you'd like.


• The kitchen is filled with food of all kinds and modern appliances so folks can cook whatever they'd like! There is also a bar in the kitchen, stocked with alcohol.


• In the living room, there is a screen showing everyone's profiles. It is touch screen, so feel free to swipe through!


• There is, of course, a banner in the living room reading 有緣千里來相會 (which, for the keen-eyed, translates to "Fate brings together those that are a thousand miles apart"). This was definitely written by the host.


• There is a welcome cake.

[ Serpilia makes a show of humming thoughtfully for a moment, before stepping in closer to Ringo's space, casually slinging one of her arms over Ringo's shoulder. ]

Make it a good one, alright?

[Nice. The confidence is very nice, and Ringo's lips curve into a pleased smile in response.

She reaches out to gently cradle Serpilia's cheek with a hand, since they're already this close, and then easily and enthusiastically closes the gap to press their lips together warmly.

Despite Ringo's body being synthetic, her lips are warm, and she kisses just like a human would--well, not that she really knows that herself.]

[ There's nothing in the warm press of lips against her own that would make Serpilia think she's kissing someone who isn't human. For a synthetic being without much living experience yet, it's not a bad kiss at all either.

There's another, quieter hum from Serpilia now as she tilts her head just a little to deepen the kiss for a few lingering seconds, before breaking it with a soft smile. ]

Not bad.

[Well then. That was satisfying, a lingering kiss with the nip of heat to it, and Ringo's starting to get the hype around kisses, a bit.]

Glad I didn't disappoint.

[And then, more cheerfully:] That was fun! I'm starting to get it now, I think.

[Human experiences are so good.]

[ A surprised set of rapid blinks from Serpilia. They're all adults here, so she just assumed-- ]

Don't tell me you've never kissed before?

[She is beaming, though, clearly unashamed.]

I didn't have lips to kiss with a few months ago, and then I was pretty busy saving the world. Glad I'm getting around to it now, though!

Before a few months ago, I was just part of a big amalgamation of data, so I wasn't really "Ringo" yet.

Are you for real? I know some robots with some pretty advanced AI systems, but none of them look anything like you.

You can consider me a bit of a special case for special circumstances. But you're ahead of the game already even being that technologically savvy. Most people struggle with the idea.

I guess if people haven't worked with AI before, I could see how they might be confused. I've gotta say, I'm a little stunned too. I didn't realize there was someplace out there with technology that advance.

Sooo... is it rude to ask about how close to human they've got your programming or not? Because if it is, then I definitely didn't ask. But if it isn't, theeeen?

[She flaps a hand at that, expression amused. Honestly, she's gratified by the interest, so.

I had some learning to do, but I'd say it happened pretty quickly. Pinning down how close I am to a human is kind of tough for me to say, but I've got my own sense of self and personality, of course.

So. Judge for yourself.

You get it! This is my chance to try all sorts of stuff while I'm here! Things I never would get the chance to try back home, not while I'm working and doing Aion things and the like.
