The characters will arrive one by one, in whatever vehicle suits them the best to the front of estate. It's a beautiful estate filled with plants and trees and little ponds and all kinds of little hideaways. But it all cumulates at the main house, where they will be dropped off and greeted by a familiar face who stands outside the house and welcomes them in. They will be able to bring one suitcase with items and clothes as well as their pet(s?).

The main thing to notice when you step into the house though is that cameras are everywhere. Despite the many little hideaways of this house, there's no privacy whatsoever. Oh well!

When everyone is gathered together, the host from earlier will greet everyone with a merry:

"Welcome, my affection seeking friends! This is where you'll be staying the next few weeks. Find a place to settle in and get to know each other! I'll be around, in case you need anything."

He genuinely seems to mean it, at least?! But that seems to be it, he'll slip away in the meantime and leave you all to it.

A few things to note, of course:

• There is only one "bedroom" which is a large room, with a closet full of futons to roll out and use in said room. Sleepover time!


• There is an extra, extra, extra, extra large futon for Messmer.


• In one of the rooms of the estate, there is a lovely piano ready for use. Feel free to ask for more instruments, if you'd like.


• The kitchen is filled with food of all kinds and modern appliances so folks can cook whatever they'd like! There is also a bar in the kitchen, stocked with alcohol.


• In the living room, there is a screen showing everyone's profiles. It is touch screen, so feel free to swipe through!


• There is, of course, a banner in the living room reading 有緣千里來相會 (which, for the keen-eyed, translates to "Fate brings together those that are a thousand miles apart"). This was definitely written by the host.


• There is a welcome cake.

Shared sleeping quarters ... [ Hm. Not ideal, but he can adjust. ] I see. I suppose I'll have to find my way there, then.

[ Hup, as he starts hauling his bulky boston bag deeper into the estate. ]

Are you used to such arrangements? Mr. ... [ yeah no he's not going for the full name ] Nico.

Just Nico is fine. There is no need for formalities, we are here to get to know each other!

[ Nico follows along, dragging his own suitcase on wheels. ]

I am used to somewhat cramped conditions sometimes, yes. It is not so bad, so long as you do not mind when other people snore.

Oh, a little bit of snoring is the least of my concerns, when it comes to sleeping.

This must be quite the change of pace for you, though, if you're used to cramped conditions. It was already impressive from the outside, but the interior is even more extravagant. At least it won't be cramped, even with all of us in the same place.

Ah, I have seen the show before. The point is to force us to share space. I do not think there will be too much elbow room.

[ ... is this guy a romantic, or does he just enjoy watching the drama from reality TV shows? ]

I'm afraid I didn't have the time to watch much more than a few clips before coming here. Do you have any advice, then, as a learned scholar of the program?

Quite unfortunately, drama matters just as much as genuine connection, so we must consider that if our feelings are leading us astray.

[ You know, reality TV things. ]

[ Nodding solemnly. ]

So we mustn't be swayed by any feelings while we're here. I see. Thank you for your advice.

[ (He knows this isn't what Nico means.) ]

[ GASP. It’s probably a good thing he didn’t grab Rom’s bag because Nico lets his own suitcase go in favor of clapping his hands onto Rom’s shoulders.

Nico’s grip is strangely sturdy, but not tight enough to hurt. ]

Non my friend! You must follow your heart! Just because the showrunners have their ideas does not mean you should stop yourself from feeling anything!

[ Haha. There's the reaction he was fishing for.

Rom stiffens a little when Nico grabs at him, but otherwise sorta ragdolls, just letting his hands hang at his sides where he's still holding onto his bags but otherwise not putting up any resistance. ]

Eh ... follow your heart, is it. I've never done that before. [ Is he joking or not? Anyway. ] Is that what you plan on doing?

[ He pulls away, placing one hand dramatically on his chest and staring out at nothing in particular. ]

It is what I always do!
