week one | arrival
The characters will arrive one by one, in whatever vehicle suits them the best to the front of estate. It's a beautiful estate filled with plants and trees and little ponds and all kinds of little hideaways. But it all cumulates at the main house, where they will be dropped off and greeted by a familiar face who stands outside the house and welcomes them in. They will be able to bring one suitcase with items and clothes as well as their pet(s?).
The main thing to notice when you step into the house though is that cameras are everywhere. Despite the many little hideaways of this house, there's no privacy whatsoever. Oh well!
When everyone is gathered together, the host from earlier will greet everyone with a merry:
"Welcome, my affection seeking friends! This is where you'll be staying the next few weeks. Find a place to settle in and get to know each other! I'll be around, in case you need anything."
He genuinely seems to mean it, at least?! But that seems to be it, he'll slip away in the meantime and leave you all to it.
A few things to note, of course:

A few things to note, of course:
- There is only one "bedroom" which is a large room, with a closet full of futons to roll out and use in said room. Sleepover time!
- There is an extra, extra, extra, extra large futon for Messmer.
- In one of the rooms of the estate, there is a lovely piano ready for use. Feel free to ask for more instruments, if you'd like.
- The kitchen is filled with food of all kinds and modern appliances so folks can cook whatever they'd like! There is also a bar in the kitchen, stocked with alcohol.
- In the living room, there is a screen showing everyone's profiles. It is touch screen, so feel free to swipe through!
- There is, of course, a banner in the living room reading 有緣千里來相會 (which, for the keen-eyed, translates to "Fate brings together those that are a thousand miles apart"). This was definitely written by the host.
- There is a welcome cake.

[She does have some data on that, at least...]
It's a little of column A, a little of column B, and some of column C, which is "figuring out what the big fuss is about, anyway".

[ Ringo is truly living now. ]

[ Hello? ]
no subject
Oh, that. That's nothing to worry about.
I'm an AI! Before getting this body, I was just part of an amalgamation of data.
But now I'm Ringo, body and all! [Tah-dah!]

Nice to meet you, newly-lipped Ringo! You can call me Maya.
[ She's just going to roll with this, apparently. ]
no subject
[Ahem.]
Anyway! Up for a kiss?
no subject
Oh! Sure! Lay it on me!
[ COME AT HER, BRO. ]
no subject
Ringo just nods enthusiastically, reaches out to cup Maya's face with both hands, and leans in for that kiss!
Not terribly practiced, but enthusiastic nonetheless.]
no subject
And, leaning back-- ]
Verdict?
no subject
[Chipper and cheerful.]
Different from any of the others, too. What about yours?
no subject
But it was fun! It really made me think that life is full of untapped potential!
[ Help. ]
no subject
[WHOA]
Kisses are more powerful than I thought...
no subject
[ Kisses are badass. ]
no subject
... Huh. Human folk tales and mythology are really something. I wonder why that is. Kisses specifically, I mean. It's not like they're magic.
no subject
[ Unsurprising. ]
Nowadays, there aren't too many people who take it that seriously, but it's fascinating when you trace it back, isn't it?

[Her brow's a little furrowed as she thinks about it. All of the "love" she's seen from her human companions has been super messy, and it's not like she understands love herself, abstractly...]
"Conquers all" seems like a bit of a cop-out to me, though.
no subject
But it should be interesting to see if we have any cases of it here! Which is the point, I guess.
[ Them all finding love. ]
no subject
[... Well.]
I can't say it's not possible. Huh, well. I guess I'll keep my eyes open for it too. It'd be interesting to see firsthand.
no subject
I'm really bad at spotting it myself, but maybe now that I'm actively thinking about it daily, I'll be a little more aware.
[ Maya throwing herself under the bus. ]
no subject
... That's a pretty brutal self-analysis you've got there.
But hey, yeah, you're right! Now that you're looking for it, you're sure to find it! I'll be rooting for you too!
no subject
[ Fondly. ]
But thanks! I'll be rooting for you too! We can only get stronger from this!
no subject
[Thriving!!]
So if you find anyone who catches your eye, let me know! I'll do my part to help.
no subject
If you're an AI, does that mean you haven't really discovered your type yet? No way to narrow it down, huh?
[ If only. ]
no subject
[If only she had a pre-programmed type.]
