[ Requesting a couple of chocolate and strawberry crepes from the stall, Aventurine then asks: ]

So, what's the Honeymoon Suite like? I can't help but be mystified by what I'm not allowed to see.

[crimsin]

I do love it when you spoil me.

[ He likes that he’s unlocked Aventurine’s doting side. It makes him feel warm and fuzzy. ]

It is very lavish, very large. Very... empty. I prefer being around the manor with everyone.

[gamboler]

[ He hasn't been able to keep it off his mind entirely, what it might be like if he and Nico had been matched and able to go there together...but even if they were, then they'd probably still spend most of their time at the house. Just as Furina and Ringo have. ]

Miss our rambunctious misadventures, do you? We are a rather winsome group...

[ A beat, a smile that's soft and intimate finding his lips. ]

I've missed you, too.

[ Even with Yingying's help, the nights haven't passed as soundly as they did next to Nico. ]

[crimsin]

[ He would truly love nothing more than to hold Aventurine again as they sleep, to keep him close and warm and safe. He hopes that his beloved is faring okay without him there, though he knows it’s not something he would necessarily want to talk about.

Not in front of the camera crew, anyway. ]

That is why I am here now, oui? I simply cannot stay away.

[gamboler]

[ He really can't...and Aventurine isn't about to complain.

The assistant at the booth hands their crepes over to them, neatly wrapped and still hot, and with his hand still in Nico's, Aventurine steers them to start strolling again. ]

It's a little strange to think that we've got less than a week left here, isn't it? Haha, and here I thought it might take ages for these weeks to pass by.

[ If he hadn't been enjoying himself so much, that is. ]

[crimsin]

[ Nico takes his crepe with his free hand, not wanting to let go of Aventurine for an instant. They're truly so gross. ]

It goes so quickly, does it not? [ A month is nothing to him, really. This somehow feels faster than normal. ] Does this mean you have been having fun?

[gamboler]

I don't know if "fun" is the exact word I would use...some of it has been. Some of it a little frustrating, bewildering, entertaining...but have I been having a good time? Well...

[ He trails off, but his answer is already in the knowing glance he gives Nico. It's been a far more complicated experience than he expected, but he wouldn't trade it for anything. How could he?

He gives Nico's hand a squeeze. ]

[crimsin]

[ He gets what Aventurine is saying without saying, and gives his hand a little squeeze in return. ]

I am happy to hear it. Happier still that I have played some part in it.

[gamboler]

Some part? You might be underselling yourself just a bit, darling.

[ He deserves, like, at least 70% of the credit. ]

Were we dividing up yearly bonuses amongst ourselves like I do with my colleagues, you'd need to make a far better case than that to get a slice of the pie.

[crimsin]

Come on now, I do not want to hog all the credit. You have made some friends here, have you not?

[ PLEASE tell him you’ve been making friends, Aventurine. ]

[gamboler]

[ He has been!!! Friends that are actual friends and not friends in italics. ]

Oh sure, sure. Rather unexpectedly, but this little vacation has been full of surprises...

[crimsin]

I am glad to hear it.

[ He just. Smiles so brightly. ]

I hope we can all leave this place happy with the new bonds we have forged.

[gamboler]

...I'd like that.

[ For someone who rarely makes deep connections as it is, each one he's forged here has become precious to him. He won't let them go so easily now, no matter where he winds up.

Lifting his crepe to his mouth, he takes a cutieful anime girl bite out of it. ]

Delicious — though I think I like the way I make them better.

[crimsin]

[ Not the cutieful anime girl bite… did he get chocolate on his face? ]

You make crepes? I did not know you like to cook.

[ Yes, just a little bit on his cheek!! ]

Ah, you did miss me in the kitchen on our first day. A shame I made Miss Serpilia crepes instead of you. I could have won your heart in an instant.

[ Instead of the, like, three days it took instead. ]

I wouldn't call myself an experienced chef by any means, but I know enough to get by.
