[ Shoko, your bobbies? Poppy's just staring, forgetting about the heat she's dealing with. ]

[ Pretty Poppy...while Shoko is out here about to be breasting boobily all over the Renaissance Faire. ]

[ As she's looking out at the... everything. This is definitely not something she's been to before. ]

Hm... It's really crowded. I didn't realize this kind of thing would be popular.

Oh, yeah. Nerds eat stuff like this up all the time.

[ Speaking as though she isn't a total nerd herself. And like she isn't maybe kind of comfortable in her getup? Anyway, she can stop staring at Shoko's rack long enough to take a look around for herself. ]

The turkey legs are probably fine, it's just if you're already sweltering do you really want something else roast on a spit?

I actually knew a guy who did rotisserie chickens at these things once.

[ Hold on, doesn't she count as one of those nerds? Shoko hasn't forgotten about what they got up to in the Boom Boom Room...

Anyway, she'll go ahead and take Poppy's hand in hers. ]

Oh? So you know your way around this kind of festival, then. Why don't you lead the way, then... Your Majesty?

[ She's like, a cool version of these nerds, though. Look at how cool she is. Around all the nerds she is on the exact same wavelength as, except she's doing them all one better, because she is the one who gets to hold Shoko's hand.

Swings them a little, grinning. ]

Right, right. Let's go to... oooohh, I bet they have jousting.

[ Time for violence!! ]

[ She might actually be the coolest nerd here for bagging a baddie like Shoko, it's true. Poppy swinging their joined hands a little is precious, and even Shoko can't help but go along with it. It's nice to just go along with it. ]

Is that the thing where they fight while riding horses...? Sure. I've never seen that before.

[ But also... are people walking around with drinks? Interesting. ]

Should we get drinks, first? It looks like people are just walking around with them.

[ She doesn't even register Shoko going along with the hand-swinging; it just feels so natural to do.

She does manage to tear her gaze away from Shoko to look around them, though, and oh. Right. Drinks... on a hot day... makes sense. ]

Ooh, you're right. I bet we can find some lemonade or something, then find the nerds fighting while riding horses.

[ A beat. ]

Do you have anything we could add to it...?

[ Did. Did she bring vodka with her, ]

[ She reaches into her trousers and. Yeah. There is a flask in there. ]

Oops. Hehe. How'd that get in there?

[ Poppy just laughs in turn. ]

How'd I know you'd have that... [ Some light teasing as she swings their hands hands again, happy. ] C'mon, let's go find some lemonade we can improve.

[ Getting pleasantly buzzed on a hot day in cool outfits with the girl she likes... This really is not so bad at all. ]

[ Luckily, the nearest lemonade stall isn't too far off, but it is also right next to someone selling flower crowns...

Which means that, of course, Shoko will buy one. By which we mean she'll grab one from the display and make one of the filming crew following them around deal with the actual transaction— all so she can gingerly plop a flower crown onto Poppy's head while they wait for lemonade. ]

[ Oh!

Poppy reaches up to feel the crown suddenly placed on her head, looking up at what she can see from her limited viewpoint. Choosing to look at Shoko instead, both a little flushed (from the heat? And not the title? Yeah, sure, she'll go with that) and feeling impossibly sappy at the same time.

So, while they're in line is the perfect time for a kiss, she figures. ]

Why, thank you. Your queen graciously accepts.

[ She takes a second to look around. ]

We should find you an orb or a staff or something, huh... maybe an orb on top of a staff!

[ But first: lemonade. ]

Lemonade, jousting, then searching for a staff?

[ Look at all these fun activities they have lined up... even if it might not show so readily, Shoko is having fun. It's hard not to, with Poppy. Poppy, who looks so adorable and pretty in her outfit and flower crown...

Yeah. She'll steal another kiss while they keep waiting for lemonade. But they do manage to finally procure some before long, along with a ye olde tankard to drink it from, to which Shoko wastes no time in adding a generous helping of vodka from her flask. ]

You first, your majesty.

[ Shoko is not only sticking with her, but going along with everything she's saying, so Poppy is just assuming she's having fun. The time for doubts and insecurities is over! They fucked!! And are still going out!! And kissing!!! Life is good.

She laughs at how much vodka ends up in the lemonade, taking a healthy swig and— Oh. Oooh, she's feeling that immediately, looking up at Shoko with a dopey smile. ]

Your turn, sorceress. Your potion would appear to be most effective.

[ That smile... She can't help it, but she leans in quickly just to press a kiss to the corner of that dopey smile before taking the tankard for herself. She tags arguably a bigger swig than Poppy, but seems completely fine... ]

Too bad, as a sorceress, I'm immune to my own potion.~

[ Life is good and Shoko is still kissing her, like, just because. Life could, perhaps, not get any better right now. (Except it could, but that's just a byproduct of spending so much time being with Shoko.) Poppy blushes a little — maybe because it's so hot out! Yeah, why not! — as she watches Shoko drink her fill.

Gawks, for a second. How—

No, nevermind, she can work with this actually. Beaming at her. ]

Well then, perhaps you could share your talents with your queen. I feel another kiss might just do the trick.

[ C'mon. She's ready for a longer one this time. After all, why shouldn't they really indulge in some PDA at the ren faire? ]
